Beautiful building and outdoor spaces, terrific wines. Can't say enough about the quality of the wines and the great service of the folks behind the tasting counter. Very friendly and informative. Good prices and good selection. We will make this a regular stop.

Great history at this old school house. We really likes many of the wonderful wines they had to offer! It is right on Hwy.12 and well worth the stop. Would definately go again.

We had a great wine tasting tour of Walla Walla with a group of friends. All of the tasting rooms we visited were very nice and the staff was pleasant and accomodating. Except...at L'Ecole. The fellow behind the counter was pompous and unfriendly. I'm not sure if his handlebar mustache was itching him or what his problem was, but he acted as if we were not worthy of his time to explain the wines we were tasting. The wines were blends and I had to ask what grapes were used. He was imperious and condescending with his answer. The facility is interesting and the gift shop is fine. I guess it is worth a stop to see this historical site. But as for the service....you can do better elsewhere and the wine...well it didn't suit my tastes. Your time can be better spent elsewhere. There are too many tasting rooms in Walla Walla that are 'not to miss'. Don't waste your time here.

During a two-week business trip exploring approximately 100 wineries we also visited L'ecole No.41. We enjoyed the chat with really knowledgable sales person and of course we also enjoyed their wines. It is definitely worth a visit!

...but the two people working on the morning that we were there were really nice, friendlly, smart, knowledgeable and chatty. Our conversation ranged from bluegrass to skiing to local law enforcement practices and touched on all sorts of topics along the way. The building was pretty neat, and the wine was good, but the staff really made the difference.
