wine tasting with kids I'd often a challenge, but L'Ecole is actually an old school house complete with working playground. This will keep your kids occupied while you taste their find selection of wines. But as with many of the wineries in Walla Walla, if you live in a state where they can ship wine, buying through the wine club or over the web I'd more cost effective than buying in bulk at the tasting room.

We visited Walla Walla for four days and visited many wineries in the area from high end to low end and had very positive, fun visits at every one except L'ecole. Slow, impersonable service was a huge negative and the low-medium priced wines weren't worth the price compared to other wines we had tasted and ultimately purchased. I didn't bother with tasting the higher priced wines--the service was so poor I just wanted out of there. The 3 guys working the bar were about as exciting as a fly on the wall. Don't waste your time here unless you just want to see the awesome building and purchase their Merlot Chocoloate Sauce (which I did) - thus I'll give them one star for the sauce.

Exquisite building, good wine, great people. They have a great chardonnay I was able to give as gifts.

This wine tasting room in an old school house is a great experience. Nice wines and a friendly staff. A large number of wines to choose from and staff helps you make comparative selections. Worth visiting both for the experience and buying the wines.
