“Did not live up to its reputation”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

The service was average, and the place felt sticky. The prices were equivalent to an upscale restaurant in downtown Seattle, but obviously it's not! It took forever to get more than water, and the waitress smelled like cigarette smoke. The food came out so hot it took a good ten minutes to let it cool down to the point of being able to taste the food. By then the food was soggy from the excess heat. However, the chicken fettuccine was delicious! Something is wrong when the poultry is better than the seafood! When paying for the meal the hostess at the cash register did not seem happy to be taking my money. I will not be trying this place again.

“Really good food”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

I could have eaten every meal at Doogers. The starter salad comes with fresh shrimp on top. Yum! I ordered grilled salmon. It was nicely seasoned and not overcooked. The other order was a combination plate cooked how you want it. The batter was light and not greasy. I will definitely eat at this location again.

“Enjoyable dinner”
Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

After a long drive down from Vancouver we decided to park the Jeep and walk around. We walked by here and overheard some locals chatting in the mostly full parking lot. If the locals enjoy eating here, then it must be good.
We were greeted very warmly and seated quickly. It seemed that we timed it perfectly. It filled up shortly after we arrived. Angie was our server and she was great. She gave us a great rundown on what the different draft beers were and who made them. I chose the Black Butte Porter, which was very tasty, and my husband chose the Mayonaise Pale Ale. That was also really good. Angie let us know what was fresh caught. We went with crab cakes to start then halibut steak and clam chowder.
The crab cakes were a bit on the thin side, but who cares when they are super tasty! We loved the crab cakes. The clam chowder was really good and the salad had very fresh shrimp on it. The halibut was served perfectly. We both ordered the lite meals and were so full at the end that ther was no room for dessert.
Great job Angie!

“Great shrimp and halibut”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

First time at a Doogers. I had the cajun prawns and my wife had the halibut sandwich, fresh halibut and the prawns were excellently seasoned. The marionberry cobbler was a tasty tidbit as well!

“Yummy fresh crabcakes!”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We stumbled upon this while walking along the main stretch of town - saw their steak special on a sandwich board out front, saw the parking lot was full, and thought we would give it a try! We didn't order the steak special after all, but sure sounded like a good deal, and lots of people were ordering it. We wanted to have some local cuisine, so went with the crabcakes. We shared them as we had been snacking all day already traveling, and our waitress was awesome - she split everything between two plates before bringing it out, and even brought an extra salad for us beforehand! All of it was home made and delicious! You could tell there were many locals as well as travelers - good food speaks volumes! We would've went back again, but weren't in town long enough!
