We just celebrated our first anniversary (but our third stay) here and it will always be our destination ! The room was perfect in every way and we love the jacuzzi tub but most of all the staff made us feel so special:) As my husband put it.....romance and relaxation topped with the sounds of the ocean. Rose petals, champaign, candles everywhere, chocolates and the ultiamte privacy. Thank you so much......

Room Tip: Corner suites have great windows for fresh, ocean air ! Gentlemen- if you want to score some points with your honey.....book this as a suprise!

Although we stayed in the studio room that has an "obstructed" view of the ocean due to the trees, we didn't mind that a bit. We could still hear the sound of the ocean. The room was a delightful surprise and had both a jetted tub and a separate shower. Very nice linens too, which we find important.
Only negative was that the breakfast basket was not available before 8:30 a.m. and we are very early risers. But when delivered, it was a nice basket.
Overall, very clean, nice and a perfect spot for a romantic getaway. Employees were very friendly and helpful. A borrowed a beach bike as my bike had a flat tire - nice that they have that available so we could use the expansive bike trails right outside the door.

We loved the room, the jetted tub, the champagne, rose petals and the little deck over looking the dunes. We were in # 3 1st floor. Being right on the edge of the dunes and a nice path for a 3 minute or less walk to the beach. Sunset was totally amazing and we enjoyed just watching the sun set and the tide coming in.

We only had one complaint. It seemed like there was no sound insulation between floors. At 6:30 A.M. our second floor neighbor started walking with what sounded like hiking boots none stop all morning. Clomp..clomp...clomp. Once they left we enjoyed it much more.

You can walk to dinner at the hotel next door...or walk or ride a bike nearby to town leaving the car behind.

We will be back....but stay on the 3rd floor.

Room Tip: If you want quiet...stay on the 3rd floor

We just returned from our third stay at the Inn at Discovery Coast. We love this little boutique hotel. Platform king sized beds, jacuzzi tubs, wood floors, gas fireplaces... and every unit (in the main 9 unit building) has a sea view.

We always go for a corner suite, as it of course has more windows. The walk to the beach is just a short trail through sea grass, and now there is an entire fleet of bicycles at your disposal! You simply check them out in the lobby of the nearby Adrift Inn, which is apparently ran by the same people.

The rooms are always spotless, and well appointed with free coffee, popcorn and tea. The scones they deliver to the room after 8:30 in the morning are fresh, delicious, and still warm in the basket. The people at the front desk are wonderfully helpful, and overall this is our place to escape to when we just need to chill out for awhile. They also provide generous full size bottles of boutique shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. There was a rose on our bed when we checked in.

We generally always splurge for top floor suits as well, but this time we couldn't quite fit it in our budget. Unfortunately that meant listening to the heavy-footed people staying on the floor above us, long into the night. At one point it sounded as if they decided to move furniture at 2:00 in the morning! If people are just mindful, and either slip off their shoes or remember not to walk to heavily... it wouldn't be a bad thing. This is no fault of the Inn's. But perhaps they could remind people upon check-in that wood floors amplify foot steps, and to please be mindful of other customers below.

Bottom floor allows dogs. Second and third floor do not. This is most definitely meant as a 'couple's' retreat - as there is no option for an extra bed.

Off season rates are awesome. I can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Corner suites 1, 4, and 7 are south facing rooms with views of the ocean and sweeping sea grass, and are the best views!

Enjoyed the stay. Next time we will stay more than just one night. Ocean view and sounds were fantastic. Got the best nights sleep in weeks. Breakfast basket was wonderful. Employees were polite and cheerful.

Room Tip: We stayed in the middle third floor suite. But it appears any of the nine rooms would be satisfactory for the ocean view.
