“Great spot! We will return!”
Reviewed July 21, 2011

What a peaceful spot! Nice view of the beach - we had a second floor room. Loved being able to watch the horses coming over the dunes in the grass and hearing the birds in the tree next to the building. It's a short walk to the beach over the dunes, but the closest you will get in this area and well worth it. The rooms are little small, but clean and well appointed with everything you need for a lovely stay at the beach. We only stayed one night, because the place was booked the rest of the week - I definitely recommend at least 2 nights! The owners have done a nice job making this a cross between a B&B and hotel. The breakfast basket was yummy - wish it had a nice carafe of the coffee from the lobby with it - there was a little bit in the room with the coffee maker, but not enough. But free organic coffee and fruit infused water in the lobby of the sister hotel next door, and use of the bicycles there are really nice touches that show that the management is really thinking of the comfort and pleasure of the guests.
We will be back!

Room Tip: Choose an upper floor - we liked our middle room - double headed shower, but no tub - corner rooms...

Stayed in Room 1 and also had my parents in room 2. Although the view was adequate and it was of course very easy access to the beach, would rather have had the top flood as it was way too easy to hear people waling around above us. Overall, nice feel to the rooms, fairly clean, breakfast basket was nice. They could tone down the "eco-friendly" rhetoric a bit, almost make you want to use more towels....

Room Tip: get the top floor and book early.

we were very impressed with the inn. stayed in an end room with jacuzzi tub. the room was very clean, the staff was friendly and the view was wonderful. we were on a bottom unit and had no problems with noise from neighbors. it's a great little getaway & makes the experience feel a little more personal! we hope to return soon.

We were having a quick getaway and found this to
be the perfect escape in every way. The view, the accommodation,
the price. Incredible breakfast basket. Totally comfortable bed.
And a charming and helpful staff. We couldn't have asked for
anything better.

Amazing location, beautiful rooms, and terrific amenities. We stayed one night, soaking in the jacuzzi tub and looking out over the dunes to the ocean. Dog friendly, with great walking on the beach and a boardwalk right outside the Inn that seems to run for miles. Can't wait to go back and explore the area with a longer stay. Also found one of the best restaurants nearby - 42nd St. Cafe! Already looking forward to a return visit this Fall.

Room Tip: Corner suite

This was a second trip for my husband and I (along with our dachshund) and I found it to be comfortable, cozy and in a great location. It's steps to the boardwalk trail and a few more to the beach. Being on the first floor (with the dog), our view was okay - might have been better on the upper floors, but you could still see the water. While small, it suited us fine for two nights and has a small fridge and sitting area in front of a fireplace. It seemed a bit more worn than when we were here 2-3 years ago, but still nice. The first day was a bit rainy so we enjoyed the fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The second day we were able to open the windows and enjoy the sound of the ocean. They did provide a light breakfast in the morning which was nice. There is also coffee and tea in the room, but I preferred to walk over to Long Beach Coffee Roasters for my morning java.

Location is great, 150 yards or so off the beach. Rooms were very clean and accommodating. Staff was mostly friendly and brought us a continental breakfast basket at no additional cost. Amenities are great-- and a visitor will recognize that they have taken the time to make your stay a pleasant one (particularly enjoyed the soft king-sized bed and the deck that faced the ocean). I would definitely stay here again.
