My companions and I ducked into the little lounge in this restaurant after a day of shopping and found the year-round Christmas decorations to be very sweet, jolly and MANY~ the place has a certain "air" about it from all the decor that lends itself to a jovial, friendly atmosphere. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, but won't "hover" and that's appreciated.
The food is classic diner, with a German flair. The Reuben was classically prepared and a generous offering. The brocolli cheese soup was bland, though thick and creamy, tasted like it came from a package and didn't impress. The turkey sandwich left something to be desired, sort of cafeteria-like, but all ingredients were fresh... it was just sort of bland.
I've eaten here a few times before, for breakfast and lunch, was satisfied both times. The food isn't "inspiring" but is fresh, well-prepared middle of the road and a decent value for the price.
