This Inn has seen some better days, but is an ok stay close to the downtown Leavenworth action. The beds and chairs are good, with even decent pillows. We found the breakfast to be your standard waffle/hard boiled egg fare, but they take pains to make sure there are great fresh chopped fruit and nut toppings so that was good. On the negative side, the carpet is worn, the stairs rusty and beaten down, the deck sags in places and the hot tub doesn't really work.

We went there to tube and raft, even in mid-July the water was high, fast, and too cold, so almost no one was doing that. August is no doubt a better month to visit if this is your interest. The town itself is cute and we enjoyed nearby Ohme Gardens, eateries in Cashmere, and Lake Chelan very much - stay there instead unless you can actually raft or tube in Leavenworth.

Room Tip: Our room was right off the deck on the 2nd floor, and was quiet and fine. No elevators here, so be a...

We very much appreciate this guest’s comments.

We know that we have a ways to go before we have updated everything. So far, in the 1.5 years since we have owned the Inn, we have invested over $200,000 in upgrading our rooms.

All our rooms have new bedding with 2 different pillows on each bed – one a hypoallergenic down pillow and the other a more stiff foam pillow. Each bed has a minimum of four pillows and King bedded rooms have 6 pillows on each bed.

We added flat screen TV’s new chairs and side tables, new alarm clocks that are iPhone compatible, new artwork and new lighting. We just completed a renovation of our bathrooms this year and replaced the very outdated and tiny vanity area with a granite countertop and built a nice closet in the room to hold clothes and the refrigerator/microwave. The deck is beautifully set up with comfortable living room style furniture.

We recognize some of the projects still outstanding. Two of our rooms do have very bad carpeting and we are addressing that within the next 60 days – I have to assume this guest stayed in one of those rooms and we apologize for that lapse.

Please know that we are very serious about continuously upgrading our little Inn and we believe you will love your stay with us. Our breakfast is more than “standard waffles/hard boiled egg fare. We want you to come see for yourself (or read all the different comments on this site that are wildly complimentary of our breakfast.)

Hans

This was our first time trying this Inn but I'd been wanting to stay here. The location is great. It's on Commencement Street, off the main drag of Leavenworth so not as noisy but very convenient to walking around to all the shops or going down to Waterfront Park. The room was very clean (could walk around barefoot!) and spacious enough. I liked that it had a fridge so we could store our goodies from Cured in there.

They also had a decent continental breakfast. Nothing fancy but enough to get us going in the morning with a waffle machine, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit and cereals, although I had to go to a coffee shop for better coffee.

Very clean room, seemingly new beds and recently remodeled bathroom. Friendly, courteous service. Standard continental breakfast made over into gourmet style with fresh additions: Delicious, fresh fruit salad with optional nuts, sunflower and pumpkin seed toppings to name a few, a choice of many fruit-flavored syrups to top the fragrant, vanilla waffles, and even french toast! located in village. Will stay again!

Room Tip: Request a first floor room if you have issues with stairs(no elevator). We loved our second floor r...

We chose the Oberal Inn because of an offer through "Groupon". It is a very nice small property. The clerk that checked us in was very helpful with maps and suggestions for activities and also restaurant recommendations.

The room was large with plenty of seating, a fridge, flat panel tv and a fireplace. The bathroom areas appear to have been recently updated. There is a shared patio and hot tub area on the second floor. The location is perfect. You can park your car and easily walk everywhere! You are just far enough away from "the action" to not have a problem with noise but close enough to come back to the room with any purchases or just for a break.

The breakfast was well beyond our expectations. The choices included waffles, french toast, cereal, fresh fruit, oatmeal and many other items. The person looking after the breakfast made sure everything was well stocked, clean and tidy.

We will stay at the Obertal Inn on our next trip and would recommend it to everyone.

Room Tip: Keep in mind that the property has 3 floors and there is no elevator when requesting a room.

Again my wife and I made our 3-night stay in Leavenworth during the month of May at the Obertal Inn the 20th through the 22nd. We again received the same double queen room that we had stayed in last year and still enjoyed the room. The double queen beds were to both of our liking with four pillows on each bed to choose to our liking. The room was clean and the staff changed the linen daily. We had made arrangements for a room early this year by phone and was able to get the room at a very reasonable price for the 3-night stay. Again the Obertal Inn is located about a block from the main shopping area in Leavenworth which makes it very handy for senior citizens. Being 2 blocks from the main highway through the town of Leavenworth makes the stay much more quiet and enjoyable to stay in. We will be looking forward to our stay next May so we can shop till we drop!!

Room Tip: You really can't go wrong being two blocks from the main highway going through Leavenworth. Not...

Great 27 room hotel in Leavenworth. I had a gorgeous, like new room. Fireplace and THE most comfortable KING bed ever! 6 of the best pillows also. Made for a very nice sleep. The comp breakfast is also very good. Not your typical day old muffins! The staff was nice, especially Kim. Very friendly. She made it look as though she really enjoyed her job. I was in room #301. Beautiful view from the private balcony. Already looking forward to a return visit! The only negative was the temp of the hot tub. I would call it a luke warm tub. Very nice sitting area near the hot tub, but PLEASE increase the temp.

Room Tip: #301 is one of only 2 rooms with a private balcony!
