The house is cute with a beautiful view. It is about 10min walk down to the beach (all uphill on the walk back!) or a 2 min drive (no public parking down this private beach). The house is about 15min away from town. We basically drove out in the morning to town (brunch and coffee at Useless Coffee Company, delicious!) and explored neighboring towns and got back late afternoon, then leaving again into town for dinner. If you are looking for a quiet cozy house with a gorgeous view this is for you. Don't expect to walk anywhere (except maybe your dog around the cul de sac). The kitchen was stocked with all necessary utensils (except we didn't cook) and bathroom was well stocked with towels and toilet paper.
A friend and I needed a couple days of quiet away from work (we are both professors and just finished the academic year).
This house at the end of the road on Whidbey Island was lovely. We spent hours on the deck watching the water and wildlife. There was a bald eagle who perched on a branch ~ 20 feet from the deck for an hour both nights, and we also saw deer, otters, seals, and lots of birds.
We went into Langley twice which is a cute little town 10 minutes from the house, with a full gourmet grocery store and restaurants.
