We spent a couple September nights here and found the place to be a quiet and comfortable respite. We arrived via boat and moored at the Langley marina, which was easy and very close.

Our corner queen room with private balcony and jetted tub overlooking the water was very attractive and well appointed. We enjoyed the fireplace each evening after wandering Langley browsing shops and enjoying decent restaurants. Breakfast at the Inn is delicious and fresh.

We've already recommended that friends plan a visit here. We had a lovely time.

My wife and I spent two nights here as a get away recommended by my daughter who lives in Seattle. We went right after Labor Day. Check-in and reception were friendly and efficient. The room seemed spacious for two people. We would have preferred a King size bed, but the Queen bed was what we expected. The view of the water was pleasant and the deck with chairs relaxing.
Cable television did not include hd stations.

The bathroom was spacious with a large shower and Jacuzzi tub. Furnishings were fine, and lighting was thoughtful. We did not use the fireplace but it added a homey, rustic feel to the room.

Included breakfast buffet was healthy, fresh and tasty. Presentation was appetizing. Owner was friendly chatted with the guests.

We did not use the spa, but mainly shopped a little and explored some of the parks on the island. We are not foodies so did not have dinner in the restaurant.

This is definitely a romantic getaway kind of place with a rustic feel, and we would stay here again.

We went in mid-June and it was still pretty cool - typical for weather here.

The rooms and the Inn are adorable! Langley is a small town, and it is super quiet. We got a room on the water which came with a jacuzzi, a fireplace and a balcony. We made use of the fireplace which was so nice and cozy. It was raining most of our visit but we took an umbrella and walked around. We had dinner nearby (walked) and the next morning, we were able to explore the local shops.

We had breakfast here, which was healthy and fresh. They were also really accomodating and even made us eggs. My favorite were the granola cookies. If only I knew how to make them...

All in all, a great experience and worth the price. It was a nice secluded getaway and the area is just beautiful. It's like nothing else in the country.

Note:
We drove over from BC, and took the ferry across which was fast and painless. We only spent a night here and then drove to Seattle (about an hour or so incl ferry). A very easy commute and pretty straightforward!

Several people we know have raved about this inn and the restaurant for years. Our expectations were high and they were met. The rooms are simple but elegant and seemed to have all the right accouterments needed (iPod docking station, warm blanket for sitting on the deck, snacks). We were there during the week so it was very quiet. The view is stunning. The spa bath was fabulous and was just as good as being outside when the windows were open. The restaurant is AMAZING. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors of each dish were perfectly melded. A couple of dishes also were entertaining to eat (a bubble of sauce that when pierced, flowed into the soup, toffee poprocks on the chocolate ice for dessert). The service was exceptional. A friend who goes annually for the past 15 years, commented that the dinner is not quite what it used to be. If so, it is impossible for me to imagine how our dining experience could have been improved.

It's that lovely room on the water with the fireplace, views everywhere, a couple of chairs on a deck, wines glasses....you get the idea...heavenly. If you hear that one room is permanently unavailable, it's because they couldn't pry me out. We've got an end room...a little more privacy, a little more view. And the view alone is spectacular. If there's a “con“, it's the lack of an elevator. Sometimes a little sacrifice is required for a big payoff.

After seeing the hotels pictures on their website, I was expecting a more tranquil and rural setting. The gardens are small, and right on the street. Yes, the rooms have water views, but other hotels half the price do too. The rooms are small, and our deluxe room only had a queen bed. We were told that a full breakfast came with the room, but it was breads, some fruit, and cold quiche. I am gluten intolerant, so didn't have a lot of options here. Next time, I'll stay someplace cheaper and try one of the local breakfast places.

Spent four nights at Inn at Langley. The most spectacular view from our third floor room. Our stay was during the weekday so the Inn was very quiet. We were concerned due to the tone of some prior reviews, but we were more than satisfied - we would come again. As mentioned, the view from the patio is amazing and worthy of picture taking at all times of the day -- this is what you are paying for, along with the location which is minutes from the town. If you are looking for five star service and furnishings, stay at a Four Seasons in the city.
