Adriatica
Cuisines: Italian
Description: Under new and wonderful management, Adriatica is a charming restaurantnear the Centenniel trail in Lake Stevens WA. Family owned and servingvery authentic Greek and Italian food, our lunch today was over the top delicious with generous servings. Special touches like roasted garlic cloves with the bread, meat pie that was to die for, very reasonable prices. I can't wait to go back!

“Run Away from this Greek Mess”
Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

Wow - this place under a different name used to be such a great spot. Today it's run down & looks horrible from the curb, it does not get any better inside. You can smell the fish going bad before it gets to your table, the pizza is way over priced and the service is horrible. The topper is the totally disgusting bathrooms - yuck. I will never go back - I would rather starve!

“Could be great with a few changes”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

We stopped at Adriatica on a weekday mid-afternoon for a quick, late lunch. Overall, the food was tasty and there was nothing terrible about the place, but it did feel a bit mediocre and prices were high. Nearly $40 for one pizza and three sodas -- far too much to make this a regular lunchtime stop.

We were the only diners in the restaurant, yet our pizza took nearly 45 minutes. Strangely, after starting to eat, our server came by with an unsolicited take-away box. Nothing says, "get out" quite like being told to pack up your food while you're still eating. We did enjoy the pizza with traditional Greek toppings like olives and feta -- ours was hot and fresh.

The restaurant has a neat viewing window in the floor where you can see the river below the building, but some of the decor could use updating. Someone is attempting to make the place look lush with foliage by propagating houseplant cuttings in pots all over the restaurant. But because most of the plants are one small stem, the look is a little sparse and says "grandma's house" more than "greenhouse."

There was a lot of "behind the scenes" activity going on. Staff arguing, rushing into and out of the open kitchen, folding dinner napkins at the table next to us, phoning other staff members at high volume, searching for office supplies, etc. I understand that they were prepping for dinner, but if it's going to be that intrusive for lunch diners, they should consider closing between the two meals.

I feel like this place has great potential. The moussaka the were prepping for that night smelled amazing and the patio area outside looks like a great place to sit. I think we'll give Adriatica another chance for dinner someday.

“Just say NO!”
Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

Former favorite of our team as a lunch/meeting place, it has been completely removed from our selection of local establishments unanimously. 8 of us met for our weekly meeting lunch and to celebrate our co-worker's birthday. Food was unappetizing and in a couple cases not even edible. One person got his burger after everyone had completed their meal...

“Awesome food & service”
Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

My family of three, my sister and her husband ate here for dinner. The food was really good. We had a pizza, a Gyro, a grinder, and butter noodles. Everything was hot and fresh tasting. Our server was really nice and attentive. Definitely would recommend to anyone who likes Greek or Italian.

“rude comments”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

The food is mediocre - most times we say it could have been better. The Ravioli el Greco was delicious! The shrimp saganaki was fishy. The waiter was friendly and prompt unlike other times we have been and service has been slow, at best. The owner came out and said hello to our child. As we were getting ready to leave, the owner was yelling at one of the cooks saying Faggit and then the cook was yelling at our waiter. Very unpleasant experience. Too bad the food and atmosphere aren't better as it is one of few restaurants in Lake Stevens.
