We had lunch here on our way to Seattle. We had eaten here before and I remembered it being pretty good. The chicken sandwich I got was terrible. The chicken breast was supposed to be "grilled". It must have been microwaved since it was so rubbery I could hardly chew it. Service was ok, and surroundings were ok, but the food was not.

Loved this place. Parking is easy and convenient. It is kind of a typical family eatery and feels "familiar." The folks that seem to live in the area and eat at this restaurant are friendly and easy going, no "posers" just down home people of all ages. A great place to sit and enjoy a meal. It is clean, the service is quick and friendly, and the food hot and delicious. I judge breakfast by its coffee, and this coffee was fine. The prices were reasonable, like an Applebee's or IHop, in fact, a little less expensive. The restrooms were large and decent.
The wait area (there was no waiting that day, but there is an area provided) is a large upholstered bench in an open area, no crowding into a small wait room. And the large screen TVs showing sports are very large and visible for all over, including the wait area. A "Very Good" for this place!

We were looking for a breakfast spot and this restaurant was fine. You'll need to drive farther if you're looking for a charming setting or atmosphere. If you're okay with the bar/diner atmosphere but some solid breakfast choices with larger quantities, this is your place. The staff/service is excellent -- seriously nice staff. If you order the steak, order it under your usual preference -- medium well is going to get you jerky. They have a military discount so be sure to ask for it.

We meet family from South of Tacoma at Hawk's for a brief lunch and conversation. Was really displeased with that fact that I had ordered Fish & Chips, and was wishing for their "Award Winning Clam Chowder" as well! It came to my disbelief that they only serve it on "Fridays". The rest of what was ordered by everyone else was good. I was also displeased with the fact that their no longer a "24 Hour Restaurant"! I use to love stopping off there for breakfast before heading out to Westport to go fishing! What happened???
