A good location to stay if going down to shop at the discount malls. About 20 min. from the Anacortes ferry, La Connor has a lot of charm with numerous antique stores as well as galleries and specialty stores. The hotel looks like something out of the 60s with cedar paneled rooms and a gas fireplace. A continental breakfast is included with your stay. Most things are within easy walking distance including Neil Thorne, the number one rated restaurant in the Connor. It is actually attached to the hotel. There are also a number of amenities including a spa and massage package did not partake in.

Room Tip: Probably best to get a room that is not over the main lobby as they start breakfast fairly early and it could be a bit noisy especially if you are a light sleeper.

We loved our room at the La Conner Country Inn, but we're fans of natural wood and soaring vaulted ceilings, and the fireplace was a nice touch (so were the casement windows that we could open up to the breeze). It was nice to be able to walk to town and restaurants, a good home base. The bed was super comfortable, much appreciated since we'd driven from Odessa via the North Cascades highway, and we were tired from being on the road all day.

Unfortunately it was too warm to enjoy the fireplace, but we'll be back this winter to enjoy another stay. La Conner is a favorite place to come for the weekend, with lots of things to do close by.

The room was clean and okay for the kind of over priced, only bonus is that it was a large room. There was nothing special or spectacular. Upon check in there was no suggestion on places to see or eat. Had to carry our own luggage to the second floor.
There were a few fruit stands kicking around.
We checked in later in the evening and the desk agent made us feel like it was a hassle.

Room Tip: You will need to prob the front desk if you have a questions since our agent wasn't very accommodating. The town website has a coupon to save $10

A clean room with high vaulted ceilings and wood paneling was ok, but I did not get a "country feel". Since stayed after Labor day the tourists have thinned out, so I might be feeling the vacuum. There are only a couple of pictures on the wall, that feel like "corporate purchases", and not really homey at all. The property is a street back from the waterfront, so I did not get the waterfront experience either. La Conner is fun to have a meal on the water, and to visit the quaint shops and galleries. The hotels should drop their prices more after tourist season. In the future I will come for the what the town offers, but stay in a less pricey property or with a water view.

Room Tip: They will show you the rooms if you ask.

Room was large and very nicely decorated (a lot of natural wood trim). We would stay here again. It's located in La Conner where there are plenty of places to eat and things to do. It's very scenic here.
