This is a lovely B&B with a GREAT breakfast! My sister and I had a twin room (smallish but lovely). The details in the rooms are amazing, everything from the quilted bedcovers, swags on the windows, chair rails and stencils on the walls, pedistal sinks in the bathroom, bright make-up lights, white fluffy robes, etc. etc. So much attention to detail, not the least of which was the outgoing, friendly and competent service. And, as I said, the breakfast (two courses) was excellent - in taste, presentation, and variety.

The B&B was close to the main area of town where all the shops were - an easy walk. The B&B was clean, safe and extremely comfortable. Oh, did I mention the delicious cookies that were in our room when we arrived? As it was somewhat late in the evening, the tea (in the lobby) and the cookies were so appreciated...

My partner and I have stayed at the Wild Iris several times, recently in April. The owners are always so friendly and welcoming..as is the rest of the staff. We've stayed in the rooms with the in-room spa tubs and the ones on the deck. All the rooms are very nicely appointed, though it would be nice to have a little more comfortable chairs in the sitting area of the room. We like the rooms with the outdoor tubs...it's quiet, private and you look out into the fields. Been to visit in April, September and October...highly recommend the Wild Iris for a relaxing, romantic get-a-way.

The attention to detail at this charming inn makes you seldom want to venture out of your room. From the luxurious bed and linens, to the jetted spa tubs, cozy gas fireplaces and fabulous cookies delivered fresh each day, we had to force ourselves to go out and explore the quaint little town of LaConner. Our room faced green farm country, and we spent most of our time reading, relaxing, and watching movies available to borrow from a wide selection in the lobby. They have a nice wine selection and cheese platters available for delivery to your room, which we had the first evening we arrived. The breakfast (served in two courses in the dining room) easily sees you through to dinner. The innkeepers and staff offer the perfect combination of attentiveness and privacy--they had great suggestions for restaurants, and were more than willing to obtain reservations, look on line for weather info for the surrounding areas, or wrap up leftovers from breakfast, but did not intrude unecessarily. If you do explore, the town has several nice restaurants, and lots of shops, easy walking distance from the Inn. A perfect little getaway from Seattle, or even Eastern Washington.

We stayed in King Suite (so the middle of the three room types), which was very spacious with a very large shower room including a huge walk in shower. No bath but then there was the spa tub on the terrace! The overall feel was very refined, elegant and luxurious. There was a DVD player in the room and a small selection of DVDs available in the reception. The technology had us stumped for a while but we got it working eventually! Enormous fresh baked cookies were awaiting us in the room when we arrived back each day, and coffee was available in the sitting room.

The Inn Keepers were very helpful and attentive. They provided us with a fantastic packed breakfast on our second day as we had to leave early to catch a ferry across to the San Juan islands for a whale-watching trip. They also gave us good tips for local restaurants - the Nell Thorne was excellent.

La Conner is a lovely little town with great little shops - good for whiling away a couple of hours on your last day before it's time to drive to the airport. It was an excellent base for touring Whidbey Island and for getting to the San Juan Islands. We also did the Boeing Factory tour, which I'd recommend even if you only have a passing interest in how they build planes - the sheer scale of the operation is fascinating.

MAGICAL PLACE - The Wild Iris is one of those magical places that once in a lifetime you stumble upon and know that you will return and recommend time and time again. When you enter this property you know that you are in for a very special stay. The rooms are incredible with no detail left behind. From the fresh flowers to the fabulous spa tubs this is truly an enchanting retreat a step above any other we have ever experienced. I am a travel agent and have traveled extensively so feel qualified to rate this gem. The personal touches at this property are amazing. The breakfast was fabulous; the owners extremely friendly and the atmosphere "the best". This property is quiet and romantic and is recommended for couples, friends or corporate events. This is a perfect place to relax and remember.

This Inn was recommended by mutual friends & greatly exceeded our expectations. We stayed 3 days & could hardly imagine a nicer place. It was a lovely inn with great service & attention to detail. Fresh flowers in the rooms, terrific breakfasts, & freshly baked cookies in our room each evening. We would definitely return given the opportunity. We preordered the wine & cheese tray for our room & it was very generous & nicely presented.

My wife planned a surprise get away for me to celebrate our anniversary. They worked with her to set it up. When we arrived the owner said she thought it was a special occaision worthy of an upgrade! She had an open King Suite that she just moved us into, gratis. The room was perfect in every detail. They were so gracious and friendly and the breakfast was just great. It was so quiet we thought we had the place to ourselves, but the full parkinglot was proof otherwise.
The cookies are homemade and to die for.
Thanks for a great stay.
