“Excellent lodge for a one night stay”
Reviewed May 21, 2014

We stayed in La Connor for one night and really liked this lodge.

- On the water, good views, clean and friendly.
- Right next to wine tasting patio.
- Less than a few minutes walking distance from everything that matters.
- Ample parking. Town is very safe.
- Breakfast included; until 10am (although we went out exploring instead)

Room Tip: Top floor corner unit was great. It's true that the walls (and floors) are thin so take earplugs...

This charming, quaint waterside Inn is the perfect place for a romantic weekend get-away. The water views are delightful, especially at sunset. There are fireplaces in the rooms with a bucket and glasses so bring your bubbly! There is a basic but plentiful breakfast served on the second floor, intimate yet roomy. The staff are helpful and friendly, and everything worthwhile is within walking distance. An absolutely fabulous weekend get-away choice.

Room Tip: Ask for a water view room, third floor corner.

Such a beautiful and peaceful location. Our suite was on the 3rd floor overlooking the Channel and we couldn't have been more please. Friendly, informative Danielle made us feel right at home. Everything within walking distance and so charming. We want to make this a yearly trip (not to mention just a day trip when we can't stay)

Room Tip: Definitely ask to be facing the Channel

A very comfortable and charming hotel, right on the channel with a lovely view of the Swinomish Channel. Even though it was cool and damp, we enjoyed sitting on the small terrace and looking at the boats. Our room was comfortable and attractive. The complimentary continental breakfast was excellent and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. We stayed here only one night while we went to the Tulip Festival but we hope to go back some time. La Conner is a charming town and this hotel is the perfect place to enjoy it!

Room Tip: Most of the rooms have a channel view--worth asking of!

We visited La Conner in early April and made the Channel Lodge our base for exploring the nearby tulip fields and the many museums and shops in this cute town. We had a spacious third-floor room with a fireplace, Jacuzzi tub and a balcony. It was a lovely place to be, both when we first got there and it was raining, and the next day when the sun came out. This is an older hotel that does not have some of the amenities you might expect. I was rather shocked to find there is no gym or exercise facility of any kind! And when it was gray outside, the room was extremely dark even with the lights on. Better lighting would be much appreciated. Then room did come with free wireless Internet service and a free breakfast on the second floor.
I was kind of surprised to see other reviewers refer to this place as inexpensive. We paid $500 for two nights. We did have an excellent room, but I would not call it cheap.

Room Tip: Our third floor room, 308, had a great view of the Swinomish Slough and the Rainbow Bridge.

The Channel Lodge is a member of the Western Washington University Alumni Preferred Partner program. Many of our grads take advantage of the great deals they make available to our alumni.
As such they are a perfect getaway site for WWU grads.

The service us impeccable~ the rooms beautifully appointed ~ the ambiance fantastic and what can you say about the setting? Perhaps one of the prettiest towns in all if America.

Take it from a road warrior a visit to the Channel Lodge will not disappoint. This is one well run property ~ you really can't miss

My Executive Director of the San Juan Island Chamber Of Commerce ,happened to mention he was having his 46th Wedding Anniversary. I asked of his plans , Going to stay 1 night @ the
La Conner Channel Lodge. I then called Cindy GM & while whispering on the phone asked if she could help me in making them feel like ROYALTY , well lets just say she went beyond that ! 15 years with Marriott 5 star Hotels, they would send us to costumer service schools that were very costly and very successful (Obviously ). If I were to rate the costumer service as a whole team effort IT WAS A 10!!!!! Thank you to the Housekeeping , Front desk , Maintenance , etc.. AWESOME JOB !
