“The Heathman is a hidden delight!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2013

We were attending a wine tasting in Kirkland and were looking for a nice boutique hotel nearby. The Heathman fit the bill. The room on the third floor was spacious with a full bedroom, a sitting room and two tvs. We were pleasantly surprised to find three small balconies and a reasonable view of downtown Kirkland looking west toward Lake Washington. The heater was a bit noisy but nothing is perfect. Happy hour at the Trellis bar is a must. I tried the Escargot Borgoyne for only $8. along with a Rasputin stout from California - both were excellent. Late at night, my wife and I went for a walkabout and picked up a pizza from Pappa Johns as well as a bottle of champagne from the local liquor store. The next morning, as we were sitting in the Trellis cafe, we were treated to the Christmas run down main street. There were costumes of all sorts and dogs - lots of dogs and children. I said to my wife - does everyone in Kirkland own a dog! Just a terrific Christmas experience!

Room Tip: There is no spa and there is only a shower in the room. There is no bar fridge or microwave in the...

If you need a quiet place to stay nr Google Kirkland than this Hotel suits. Everything you would expect. The hotel is not near downtown Seattle. At the time of my stay I was led to believe there was a free shuttle service to Seattle, this isn't the case. There is a shuttle service within a 10 mile radius in the other direction to Seattle and this service needs to be booked in advance and runs limited hours. The hotel were kind enough to run me twice as way of apology for the misunderstanding. The local area doesn't offer much other than a few mediocre restaurants in case you fancied wondering out. Nightlife it aint.

Hotel food reasonable but overpriced. Cant comment on the pool as I didnt realise there was one and reception never told me.

Beds are comfy and clean.

After more than 25 years of staying in various downtown Seattle hotels while visiting there 2-3 times a year, my wife and I finally decided to stay on the east side of Lake Washington in Kirkland.

We chose the Heathman because we like to experience the best, and we were not disappointed. The suite was well-appointed and very comfortable, the staff welcoming and attentive, and the value (for a weekend stay) exceptional. Oh, and did I mention we were traveling with our two humungous canines?

The Heathman is spectacularly dog-friendly - not merely dog-tolerant - from the in-room bowls and beds to the delicious dog treats made by the Trellis restaurant's pastry chef. (Yes, I had a bite, and the treats are more than human-worthy!) And best of all - no extra charge for the dogs. I know I signed something when we arrived, but when your dogs are as adaptable (spoiled?) as ours, no need to worry.

Lastly, Kirkland is just a great place to be - many, many nice people in a very nice town!

Room Tip: I doubt there are any "bad" rooms, so use the hotel's website and seek out a suite on...

What a treat to stay at this hotel. The bed was super comfortable and the sheets soft and smooth. The towels were thick and absorbent. Great quiet location close to downtown Kirkland. The breakfast in their restaurant was tasty and fresh.

rooms are comfortable and quiet...parking is a 13 dollar charge when it should be included and there is not even a pot of coffee available in the lobby... you would think that a pot of coffee in the lobby in starbucks country would be included in your stay and would not dent profits for the hotel.....location is central to Kirkland but Bellevue hotels might offer more for the dollar for those who are value conscious

Great stay. The tubs are called heavenly tubs cause when I get in- I'm in heaven.

The beds are called heavenly beds cause when I get in..... You get the idea!

Definitely the place to stay in Kirkland. Don't miss this gem. The French press in the room from cafe vita is a great touch.

Got a great weekend getaway deal here and it had that great boutique hotel feel to it.
lots of shots and breakfast spots within walking distance and it's right on the water.
It was a little chilly on our visit but they had heat lamps and the staff was super nice.

Many folks rave about the food in the restaurant , we were unimpressed, but we are are also jaded new yorkers so take it for what it's worth..

clean large rooms with great showers , one weird complaint - no ice machine's
they told us it made noise and disturbed the guests.
But they were ready willing and able to refill our ice bucket multiple times with never a snide comment or look . had to call the desk every time though...
I guess we are big ice coffee drinkers?

overall a great experience and would recommend if you have reason to be in seattle or more specifically in kirkland.

Room Tip: ask for a view of the parking lot it's actually quieter and nicer in the morning..
