“Excellent hotel in a neat area”
Reviewed November 19, 2011

I stayed at the Heathman Hotel for a business event this past week. The room was very comfortable and large; nice 'work' space, plenty of outlets available, very good internet connectivity. The room was spotless; bathroom large with a very nice shower (great water pressure!) One of my favorite amenities? The french press coffee maker- absolutely fantastic coffee every morning- the coffee box had all sorts of teas, etc. One of the best complimentary coffee setups I've seen in a very long time!

The robes provided were thick and warm; and there was a nice relaxing chair; plus big screen TV. Extra blankets in the closet; plus several different types of pillows. This hotel also offers numerous "types" of beds.. I had a Temperpedic, but they also offer European down, etc. This hotel is all about comfort!

The hotel lobby has a huge fireplace; and two mornings I sat by the fire for awhile to read the paper; the cold, rainy Seattle weather makes this a nice touch for the lobby. Three different types of newspapers offered as well!

I ate in the restaurant for several meals; breakfast was excellent. Tessa, the host was extremely friendly, made sure I had a newspaper before I sat down. I had the normal American breakfast fare; service was fantastic, prompt and extremely courteous- and was around $16 each day.

My group had dinner here one night as well; I had a Pinot Gris and Salmon; everything was cooked perfectly. The restaurant advertises 'local farm products' and you can tell; everything was great. (appx $45/dinner)

Nightly turndown service offered the customary pillow chocolate, but also a sleep mask and earg plugs (which you don't need because the place is so quiet!)

They also offer local car service that is complimentary and honestly, I've never met a more accommodating driver. He took us to the Microsoft campus (about 15 mins away). EXTREMELY polite Staff here... they have definitely been trained well.

The hotel is in an area of unique shops and locally owned restaruants- so great place to stay.

I cannot say enough good things. Thanks for a great stay.

Room Tip: Make sure you pick out the bed type you want! Not many hotels offer this!

This was my first time staying at the Heathman in Kirkland. Having grown up in Seattle, Kirkland has a reputation for being a bit stuffy, but the Heathman knows how to do luxury right. They have all the amenities to make the stay feel like a million bucks but still have enough warmth and comfort to make people feel comfortable. The Heathman really knows how to tailor a stay to make sure their guests are relaxed, which in my case was not easy to do since I was putting on a surprise party for my mom. Candace, the event coordinator, thought of everything! She really made me feel at ease with the entire process. Her approach was calm, cool and collected - everything I was not! The banquet room was exquisitely decorated and every move the staff made was friendly and inviting. I will have a hard time throwing a party anywhere else!
The individual hotel rooms were of a perfect size - not too small or cramped. The bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. I'm pretty sure it's more comfortable than my own bed. Getting up in the morning was nearly impossible!
Everything about my experience here was perfect and the facilities were immaculate. I will definitely stay here again. It makes staying in Kirkland worth it!

Room Tip: I was in 3 different rooms and every one of them was great. I don't think they have a bad room...

Last weekend was our 5th stay at the Heathman in Kirkland. This stay was for a party of 60 guests hosted by the Heathman. The room accommodations, food, staff and overnight stay was beyond remarkable. Many of us met in the resturant for breakfast the following morning. It was Yummmy! Visiting the shops in Kirkland and taking in the short walk to the beach is a must. Bottom line, if you're looking for an upscale hotel with a warm friendly extraordinary staff and great food this is the place to stay.

Once again, I had a wonderful stay and experience at the Kirkland Heathman. The staff is so friendly and does a great job making me feel important as if I am the only one staying there, when in fact the hotel seemed super busy this past weekend. It was clear they were hosting a wedding party and I was there to attend a cocktail party in the banquet room. The event went very well, another success for the hotel staff. Breakfast Saturday morning on the heated patio of Trellis was dee-lish! It is clear this sweet spot is a favorite the locals too. I was bummed to check out on Sunday, I could really go for another night in the most comfortable (hotel) bed! Until next time…

Room Tip: The views from the 3rd and 4th floors are grand.

Travelled to Kirkland for a show at the Performance Center and happened to find the Heathman online. The theater and the hotel are less than a block apart. We came a day early and spent the days walking around the lake and checking out the stores, restaurants, and tavens in this part of Kirkland.
The hotel was well appointed and the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was very nice, great bed, nicely laid out bathroom, WIFI, coffee and coffe maker - all in all very comfy. Used the gym every morning - neat and clean, new, good equipment, not too busy, and looks out onto the street. Had a couple of meals at the Trellis Restaurant - all very good and the serving staff was great: not pushy or intrusive but right there when appropriate.
We would go back to the Heathman in a minute. It wasn't inexpensive but we felt we got great value.
