I liveeon the lake In Kirkland and see the Argosy ships cruising by daily.......altho I have never done the cruise as we had a boat of our own at the door step. I think it gives the visitor a view of life along the lake with the sights of the beautiful homes of Kirkland, Bellevue, Medina. Plus one sees Mt Rainier on a clear day, and the skyline of Seattle is always visible. A trip through the Montlake cut with views of the U of W, new football stadium, University hospital, and then into Lake Union with its houseboat communities, and a magnificent view of Seattle.

If the weather is good, this is a great way to spend half a day on the water, to see the grate houses along the Lake Washington shores in including Bill Gates house. It is fun for adults and kids.

On nice summer days and evenings Argosy tours are a great escape. We live in Kirkland and still remember fondly our first Argosy cruise when we were new to the area. What a great way to see the communities around Lake Washington / Lake Union. Since then we've taken visitors frequently for a cruise, took part in private function on night cruises and even did a family event on a nice cruise -- very fond memories.

The Argosy of Kirkland is a wonderful way to see the Eastside by water. You see homes of some of the wealthiest people in Seattle, see some very old historic homes and just enjoy the gorgeous water of Lake Washington. After it is over, it is fun to stroll the charming downtown of Kirkland.

I bought 4 tickets for a lake cruise at a charity auction, and was delighted to find it a fun experience. So much I didn't know about the area! The staff are friendly and while the ship is a little old, it is a great way to show guests the area without driving through traffic. We will definitely dothis again!
