“Time to update”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Anthony's has been in downtown Kirkland, Washington, for many years. It's time they updated their look and their menu. A recent visit revealed the same old disappointments. A salad that was supposed to have shrimp and blue cheese was comprised of about 60% white lettuce (ends of romaine) which in our household hits the garbage disposal -- unappealing loooking and no flavor. There may have been 5-6 shrimp on the salad and no sign of blue cheese except perhaps a scant offering in the mostly Thousand Island dressing. It's a shame when the best part of your meal is the bread and butter. We asked for olive oil for the bread and were told they had only canola oil (not good on bread!) The server was attentive enough, although when she picked up the plates she never asked how everything was. She probably already knew. There are so many better restaurants in Kirkland and they are easily found. Pass this one up.

“Steaks to rival Daniel's”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

This place is a find - right on the water in trendy Kirkland, and a better bet than the Seattle Lake Union branch of Daniel's. One of my party had a steak and said it was just as good as - if not better - than Daniel's. That is really saying something.

The service was great - and the sommelier was really knowledgable about wine, which is not always the case!

“Favorite Fantastic Fish Place”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Anthony's never let's me down. The service is fast and friendly. The view of the marina on Lake Washington is relaxing and the sunsets can be splendid. The food is always excellent. They serve generous portions and it is perfectly prepared. As I type this review, it is making me hungry! We will be returning soon.

“great location and free parking”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Fresh seafood, plenty of things to pick from off the menu, they even offer a kids menu which makes it a nice place to dine with the family or a great place to have a romantic dinner with the awesome view of lake Washington. The appetizers are on the small side for the price, the clam chowder was perfect, our main course was cooked perfect. The service was excellent, waiter was friendly and new about the items on the menu.

“Good location”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

We have eaten at the Anthony's restaurants in Olympia, WA, Richland, WA, and now Kirkland. This was probably our least favorite of the three. We had a nice table with a terrific view but the food was only fair....my salmon was over cooked and a bit dry. We were not offered soup or salads when we ordered our meals which we thought was weird as the Richland restaurant, where we eat regularly, always has one or the other available with your dinner. We did finally order chowders, which arrived with our dinners, and we weren't charged for them which indicates to me that they should have been available as part of our meal. I'd probably give this restaurant another chance but this wasn't one of our better experiences.
