This restaurant tucked away in Kirkland has been a dining destination for decades. It deserves 5-stars for the consistency of the kitchen, the very professional service, and its extensive wine list. Holly Smith and her team prepare delicious, richly-flavored entrees. Nothing on the menu is nouveau or has crazy ingredients included. Chops may be served with well-reduced, rich sauces; octopus is grilled and tender; the fish is always pristinely-fresh and cooked simply. This is a place where you can eat fois gras or a treviso raddiccio salad to start. Because the food is so filling, I have never had dessert here. They do make souffles too. Wine list is heavily Italian and healthily priced. A meal here will dent your wallet, but will be satisfying and memorable. Celebrate an occasion here, take a date you want to impress, or business associates. Dim lights and low noise level. Consistently impressive.
