I was in town visiting family and we went to The Lodge last week for the first time. I guess this is a new restaurant and they really did a great job with the decor inside!!! Very relaxing and fun place. I had the chicken fettucini and it was excellent! My brother got a burger and he said it wasn't worth the $14+ that it cost and that it tasted "okay". They also ordered the Veggie platter as an appetizer for happy hour and were a little disappointed in the quantity of veggies they got for the $9 it cost. Perhaps they could add more veggies and it would be better. But overall I would definitely go there again and I'd recommend it to anyone!

The Lodge just opened up very recently. They still need to sort things out. I ordered a burger and it had kind of a strange taste, probably from a new grill. Service is confusing and they don't yet seem to have it figured out. I found the menu rather limiting and very average. I'm sure it will do well, given the location, but the draw will be the bar and not the food. The owners have another restaurant that seems to get decent marks from friends so I think they will get it sorted out, but for now, there are much better places to eat in downtown Kirkland.

Yelp was full of horrible reviews for the Lodge. Likely because the Lodge, being so new, didn't want to she'll out the money Yelp demands if a positive review is posted. Nonetheless, I think this place was good. There are tons of monitors to watch the current game (today's was England-Italy in the Euro 2012 tourney) so you can't miss the action no matter where you're sitting.

One thing that as right in the other reviews was that the service is slow. The waitresses seem to rely on their looks to distract patrons that it took 10 minutes to get you your first drink or when they repeatedly ignore you asking for the check when your faces are within inches of each other. That needs work.

The food appeared to be just average beyond what I actually ate. No one around me was raving about how good their sandwich or burger tasted. I'd have to say I can't blame them. Our nachos were nothing special, but were presented well and of decent quality for the $5 they required from my wallet. The beans immediately announced that they were from a can, but the chips held up to it and the guacamole, though stingily portioned, was tasty.

In the end, I would have to agree that The Lodge IS slightly above the average sports bar and grill, BUT they do have some refining to do in order to be truly exceptional.

This is a brand new lodge style restaurant/sportsbar in the main downtown area of Kirkland. The place has lots of large flat screen televisions if you are looking to catch a good game and open window seating on hot days. Menu has a good variety of options. I had a mandarin salad that was very good. Others at my table had sliders. Prices are a little high but you are paying for location and atmosphere. Large selection of beers on tap as well as fine wines. This is also a more lively loud atmosphere on game days and a bit over crowded. Noticed a back seating area set away from the main area if you are trying to have a more quiet dinner.
