“A fantastic relaxing experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2014

Stayed here for business, only 2 nights as it was full the first 2 days of my trip.
Exceptional Service.

PROS
- Amazing view, if you book one with lakeview
- Room amenities are excelent, Keuring coffee machine in room
- Great path to walk around the river
- The overall experience is fantastic

CONS
- Pretty much the only thing close by is the starbucks across the street and if you are a night owl like me, theres -nothing- I mean NOTHING to do within a walking distance other than walking by the lake
- Internet is a bit slow so if you plan to work form there, you are better up to go to starbucks

Room Tip: Book a room with a Lake View

Hello Alex V - Howard @ the Woodmark reaching out to extend a thank you for your input on Trip Advisor.

We are appreciative of your patronage and overall positive comments but wanted to share some additional thoughts we hope you may consider on a future visit with us:

The Hotel provides complimentary SUV chaffeured transportation to all of our guests within a 5 mile radius point to point to extend the array of guest offerings beyond Carillon Point to Downtown Kirkland and Bellevue.

Specific to internet speed - we just completed an upgrade across the property to 100 megs thus doubling our previous bandwidth. I have our IT team investigating if we have an access point issue to improve upon adjacent the guest room you had stayed in and am confident on a future visit you will experience 1 of the highest bandwidth's among East Seattle Hotel's which is complimentary.

Your business is incredibly important to me and the property and wanted to take a moment to reach out and say thank you and wish you an excellent remainder of the week.

Best regards,

Howard Jacobs

We stayed here over the weekend and couldn't be happier with the service at the front desk, valet, happy hour at the bar, room service and raiding their pantry. Exceptional service & beautiful setting. If you are looking for a relaxing enjoyable place to stay near Seattle this is the place.

We had a wonderful stay at the Woodmark and it exceeded expectations. It's such a beautiful area that after arriving we decided to spend most of our time in and around the hotel.Parks within walking distance, lake, marina, shops and Starbucks. We ate at both bin on the lake and the Beach Cafe and were very pleased with both. Customer service was excellent throughout our stay and we hope to return soon.

Wife and I stayed here for two nights as a bit of staycation (we live about 30 minutes from the hotel) thanks to a gift from mom and step dad. The property is located adjacent to Lake Washington and offers a unique pet friendly lodging experience as a result. Our dog gave it fours paws up and thoroughly enjoyed his stay. The treat from the front desk didn't hurt. The staff was top notch and both friendly and responsive to our needs. Offered us a glass of champagne at check-in. Just a note there is $12 per night amenity (aka resort) fee that covers wi-fi, fitness center, etc.

Our king bed room was located on the fourth floor with a peek a boo view of the lake. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a spa-like quality with a large soaking tub and very nice tile on the wall. Added touches included large containers of shampoo, conditioner and bath gel in the shower along with a full bottle of lotion, cotton balls and swabs in the bathroom. You even get two robes to use. The room had a flat screen maybe 40 inches, desk, chair and ottoman and a small refrigerator that was well stocked with liquor and beer (there is slip to mark down and pay for what you take).

Enough about the room, the rest of the hotel is very nice. There are two restaurants on-site, one is only open for dinner. There are conference rooms on the lower level and a couple of areas with chairs for hanging out. In the summer you can rent kayaks to take out on the lake. They also have bikes available to check-out. A unique feature is called "raid the pantry." Between 11pm and 1am each night they out this little room called the pantry. In there are complimentary snacks (granola bars, chips, cereal, etc), beverages (juice, milk and cans of soda), there was hot soup and cold sandwiches. If you are a night owl it is a great way to grab something for the following day(s). Valet parking is offered (additional charge) and is underground.

There is a spa that adjoins the hotel and the wife took advantage of several services. While the price was more than she was accustomed to paying the experience was very relaxing. The offer a wide range of services.

The hotel is set on the lake and is part of larger development that includes office buildings a few boutique shops, fitness center (guest staying have access to it), Starbucks, Post Office, Bank and a couple of restaurants (beyond the two in the hotel). There is a small marina and plenty of views across the lake to west towards Seattle. There is a Kidd Valley Burger and Boathouse Grill within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. Lake Washington Blvd runs in front of the development and is a great for walking, jogging, and biking. Groceries and other services are 5-10 minutes by car.

We definitely will consider this place for a mid-week or weekend getaway and would recommend it to our family and friends.

Room Tip: Pick a lakefront room for the best views.

I have been staying at the Woodmark for the last 9 years - in fact, when I need to go to Seattle I never stay anywhere else. What I love most about the Woodmark is that it never really changes - staff come and go, but the welcome, the service and the ambience never change. I can go there safe in the knowledge that it's like going home. What I also love is that they are not one of the large, glitzy global chain hotels, and nor do they pretend to be. It is a boutique hotel run by friendly people who really seem to love what they do. The hotel dog (currently the gorgeous black lab Meg) is there for a friendly stroke and the check in glass of fizz was very welcome after arriving from Europe. Rooms are a very good size with good size bathrooms, and are exceptionally quiet. That peace, combined with the lake view, leads to an overall calmness. I would agree with the reviewer who pointed out that the large bottles of Molton Brown soaps etc are far too high to be useful. If you want a bath with bubbles, you have to put the bubblebath into your hands and then run them under the tap! Annoying but not a showstopper - however, something that they could fix very easily! Food is good generally - I also particularly love the Beach Café (their café restaurant as opposed to Bin on the Lake, which is their upscale restaurant) which is also reliable reliable reliable. Location of the hotel is perfect for Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond or downtown Seattle (though traffic over the bridges into Seattle is at the moment worse than ever because of long term major construction work, so keep that in mind).

Room Tip: When choosing a room request one that is lake view or side lake view, rather than marina view. Room...

My Fiancee and I recently had the pleasure of staying two nights at the Woodmark Hotel - Yacht Club - Spa, in Kirkland Washington. We are both professionals that don't get alot of time away, so we value and always hope for great customer service during any of our excursions. I will say that this was one of the most positive and relaxing 2 nights that we have experienced in some time. The entire team just gets it, from the moment you check in to the time you depart, they are accomodating, ultra friendly, FUN, and have a sincere interest in making your stay the best one possible. Davis and his team should be very proud of achieving such a high level of customer satisfaction...we can't wait to come back!

I stayed for 8 nights at the Woodmark for a work meeting and overall have a good experience. The rooms were nice and well maintained, service was overall good and the meeting facilities were quite nice. My room looked over a canopy and to Lake Washington Blvd, so I didn't get the nice lake views. The meeting rooms are quite nice, spacious and well designed. Many have a nice view of Lake Washington, the Seattle skyline and the Olympic mountains. The catered food was mostly very nice (they did have one meal of flank steak served with tortillas, and the beef was a bit tough so you couldn't bit through the taco and needed to cut the beef). The chicken, fish, vegetables and breakfast foods were nice.

There were a couple of challenges though that keep the hotel and meeting facilities from being top rate. With respect to the meeting facility, many times during our meetings, the staff setting up food in adjacent spaces were not very careful about there noise level and the set up efforts interrupted the meetings. From a hotel perspective, I was a bit disappointed by the way they handled the fancy Moulton Brown toiletries. The were in large bottles attached high up to the wall of the tub/shower. The result being that if you wanted some bath gel while taking a bath, you had to stand up to get it (where small bottles could have been on the edge of the tub). I'd be fine with not as fancy lotion potions if they were much more useful.

Hello Mr. Kaplan - Howard Jacobs from the Woodmark touching base to say thank you for your Trip Advisor feedback on your recent stay.

Your input and patronage are of the utmost importance to us and appreciate your time and overall positive feedback on the hotel.

I am meeting today directly with our Banquet team members specific to your comments about noise level during the function that you participated in and will insure that this remains a primary focus for us moving forward.

I have also shared the food quality input with our Chef - overall being very good but focusing in on the 1 entree that was not of the highest customer satisfaction.

Specific to the Molten Brown bath products, we will be stocking a select quantity of the single use containers based on your comments. As a green hotel we focus heavily on reducing waste and supporting the environment by the use of the high quality - wall mounted pump containers but will augment these on request for guests who prefer the individual containers during their visit.

Thank you again for your comments and enjoy the rest of your weekend as well.

Best regards,

Howard Jacobs
