“Excellent and creative food, great shakes and very reasonable”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Like others said, this is not a fancy destination but a clean and creative one for sure.

We went there due to convenience of being next to the ferry and didn't expect much. Had just been to the LunchBox factory in Bellevue 2-3 days ago and felt this place has just as much or more creative menu items for almost half the price. Liked their fresh home made Veg burger

If you get a chance, definitely get their pistachio milk shake or something, worth the calories :)

“Good Grub”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

The Grub Hut isn't a fancy lunch destination. It's good, casual grub. We had a large party with little ones. There wasn't a good spot to sit inside but it was a nice day so we grabbed a couple of tables in their outdoor seating area.

The lunch was great! Burgers were good, fries were good and the fried pickles were awesome. I didn't have the garlic fries but others did and they commented how good they were. Same with the milkshakes. There wasn't a single food that we tried that wasn't good. The service was great. The people were very friendly and accommodating.

This was an adventure for us because we walked on the Edmonds/Kingston ferry, walked to The Grub Hut, and walked back to the ferry. I'd recommend this for others too. The Grub Hut is a little bit of a walk, but not bad at all. Just enough to not feel guilty about digging into a burger.

“Best Burgers”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

Excellent burgers, and personal service. The burgers are fresh, local meat, made to order and delicious. The fries are hand cut and fresh and excellent.

“Not so Cheap Burgers”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

If you are looking for a burger, and desire something other than the "big chain franchise", this might be a choice for you. This is a locally owned and operated burger joint, with numerous burger options. The burgers are cooked to order, and the fries and soda completed the meal: all really tasty, but you pay for it.

“Experience in one word: WOW!”
Reviewed April 11, 2014 via mobile

We had heard that this restaurant was good and every time we drove by it on our way to the ferry, it was always packed. So tonight was the night we decided it was our turn to try it. Their menu is extensive with 24 different beef and chicken burgers to experience and gluten-free buns if you desire. They also have cheese-steaks, pork and gyro's (oh and several salads).

I chose the Jamaican Gyro (sliced chicken breast, grilled onions, peppers and pineapple, lettuce, tomato, Jamaican-Jerk-mayo sauce and Provalone cheese for $8.50 (with a side of Fuji apple). My husband chose the Mesquite burger with a side of fries (which was one of the specials). Both were excellent albeit a bit messy.

Seating is quite limited but lucky for us, we scored a table and it wasn't too terribly busy. It was kind of cold inside which made us not want to linger (but then maybe that is the point!).

All in all, a great experience, great food and we will definitely go back when we want a good burger!
