“Horrible service and bland expensive steak”
Reviewed February 12, 2012

Their website looked like a fun place and was recommended by an aquaintance. There were only about 4 other customers when we arrived around 5 p.m. on a Sunday evening. It wasn't what we thought. The decor was similar to an upgraded coffe shop. Two sirloin steaks and a ribeye were ordered. A salad bar came with the meal. The salad bar was really small and most of the toppings were out. Then started the very long wait. After eating the salad I looked at my watch. It was a full 45 minutes before we waved the waitress down and ask how our steak was doing. She said there was one more order yet. When the steak finally got to our table, the sirloin steaks looked round and fat like a baseball! They were charred black. Not what you would think a sirloin would look like. The ribeye didn't look very appealing either. Medium rare was more rare and medium was more well done. The steak was the worst we ever had. There were no spices or rub put on any of the steaks. They didn't have any taste or tasted like cardboard. My daughter ordered her baked potato loaded which cost extra. It came with a tiny sprinkle of cheese and bacon bits. My husband and I took grated cheese from the salad bar and had way more on our potato at no extra cost. We spent almost $100 on a meal for three and were extremely dissappointed. We drove about 50 miles for this dinner to celebrate a birthday. The whole time we were there, we didn't see one adult. Most of the girls waiting the tables looked like high school age. Don't waste your time, money and calories on this restaurant. I guess we should have known when we saw the biker gang hanging around the front door!

“Home away from home.”
Reviewed January 28, 2012

Ever want to send your girlfriend/wife/sister to some place she can have fun and feel safe? This is it. Very comfortable and riffraff are tossed quickly. The Karaoke is second to none - the hostess is fun beyond fun! The food is great (gotta try the mega loaded potato skins!). If you can look past the pricing on the drinks, this is a great home bar...

“Big steaks, cheap beef”
Reviewed December 24, 2011

We were surprised to get such large steaks, but they were very tough. Nice cowboy/western atmosphere. Good service, could be a great pace if they chose a better quality grade of beef.

“Comfort Food”
Reviewed February 1, 2011

This is the quintesential American meal. The atmosphere is 1970's American chic complete with western theme, the meals are pure country American with steaks, ribs, chicken, and the 70's diner salad bar. The food is hearty on the lines of the old Wagon Wheel, Homestead, and Chuckwagon restaurants. The standards (roast turkey, meatloaf, pot roast) are flavorful and the porrtions are relative to the price.

Be advised if you are on a sodium restricted diet (even if you are not) all the food is on the salty side. On the plus side there are vegetarian options available, which is unusual for a steak house. The BBQ is pedestrian (go to Long Horn in Auburn instead), the steaks are standard restaurant quaility, but if you are lucky to catch some of the specials, such as the Corned beef and cabbage, you are in luck. Definitely worth stopping in for a decent "homestyle" meal.
