“Rustic and neat”
Reviewed August 19, 2012 via mobile

This is not a B & B for you if you are looking for luxurious. That being said, this place is really neat if you like camping but want a few more comforts. My husband and I stayed in "the Nest" and found it very cozy. There is not a lot of extra room in this "house," but the bed is comfortable. Many of the houses are placed close to the road, so if you are a light sleeper, you may be annoyed by the sounds of cars passing in the night.
The grounds are lovely and breakfast was simple, but delicious. They use a lot of local produce and they have recycling bins and composting bins set up. Not sure I would bring small children here, unless your family is used to really "roughing" it, this is not quite that extreme.
I would stay here again, but would only recommend it to people who are a little adventurous.

We stayed here on our 16th day of vacation. Much of the trip was family reunion style, which is fun but exhausting. This was the perfect retreat for our family. We stayed with our three kids. We loved roaming the forrested trails and skipping rocks in the river on the property. Its close enough to Front Street to eat in town. Breakfast was delightful. On our way to I-90 we detoured to Snoqualmie Falls, just a few minutes away from the property. We can't wait to go back without the kids for a romantic retreat.

We've beeh here twice now and stayed in 3 different treehouses. It's true that The Temple is the nicest but they are all lovely. These are extremely nice and well built treehouses. The owners: Peter and Judy Nelson also run a treehouse building school and are the authors of several popular books both about construction techniques as well as collections of photos of unusual treehouses throughout the world. The treehouses have lovely architectural details. Some have suspension bridges and huge windows around their tree, another has a spiral staircase. Each room has a heater and it is all extremely cozy. The grounds around the treehouses are also worth exploring. There are little non-bed treehouses you can climb and lots of interesting building stuff lying around. If you are at all interested in the craft of building treehouses this place is an absolute must-visit. Both times we have gone everything was all ready for us on arrival. We never had any problems with road noise.

Go here!

Have you ever spent the night in a tree? Well, we highly reccomend it. Are you looking for a luxurious, pampering-time-getaway?...well then, stay in the main lodge house. Are you excited about hanging out w/the birds and taking in a whole lot of craftsmanship coupled w/creativity?
You really should book "The Trillium" tree house. Exploring the trails and relaxing in the tree hammocks or singing your heart out on the outdoor stage to the bubbling background of the river's flow; if the beautiful Northwest undercover turns you on, You really must plan to stay @ Treehouse Point. We loved it! It provided a 41st year marriage anniversary fun time, & 60th Birthday celebration experience that fit us "perfectly," all compliments of our grown children.
It was a "really wonderful" experience!

We stayed here for the first time and it was great. We were in the Temple of the Blue Moon treehouse. It was just beautiful and you could hear the river. The food the next day was all home made and delicious.

Room Tip: Rooms furthest away from the road are quieter.

We were fortunate to stay in Temple of the Moon, which is romantic, cozy, and beautiful. We looked directly down on the river, which is literally and figuratively, the Raging River. It was a little intimidating to feel the treehouse shake each time anyone walks across the suspension bridge, and there is a trust factor in being up that high. We felt very connected to nature but we were also very cognizant of nature's power! We had hoped to meet one of the owners to hear their story of this fascinating venture, and without contact from anyone (other than the woman who set out a few breakfast things) the environment felt very impersonal and disappointing. It appears to be an interesting business venture but it is just missing that human touch.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms are too close to a busy road, but temple of the moon is quiet and well-removed fro...

After seeing an article and pictures in Sunset Magazine, this place was on my wish list. I surprised my husband and took him there for his birthday, and it was perfect. We stayed in Temple of the Blue Moon, and as soon as we entered, we wished we had a week to stay there. We didn't want to leave. It's cozy, romantic, magical and everything you hope it would be. The grounds are beautiful, the breakfast is delicious, and the owners are as friendly as can be.

Keep in mind that while some of the treehouses have their own small bathrooms, they are meant to be used in the middle of the night, for convenience. To shower, dry your hair, and for general restroom use, you use the shared bath. For us, that was no problem whatsoever, because we loved the touch of outdoorsiness/slight camping feel to it.

Room Tip: Temple of the Blue Moon is perfect. Trillium looks great too.
