Sorry if the title offends anyone. We liked the park - except for having to pay to just visit for an hour, but had to finally leave as there was nothing but goose poop everywhere! We walked in and out of the park along the Sammamish lake, and that was the best of the time spent. Benches were old and dirty, hardly any seating for us old folks as we traversed the grounds. Shade was premium and few tables were available out of the sun. We found the children's playground area very poorly appointed, wth narry a swing in sight, our grandniece's favorite implement. Beauty bark provide ground cover and immediately provided an unending source of splinters for her little feet. Needless to say we didn't stay long in that area.
It's a good, easily accessed area for large groups in the downtown Issaquah area just off a major interstate. Maintenance wise it shows the lack of care that happens when state budgets fail to provide for necessary park maintenance. A sign of the times.
