The lighthouse is undergoing a lot of renovation at the moment, but it's still worth visiting for the view and hiking. I highly recommend hiking from the lighthouse down to Beards Hollow from the light house parking lot. This is a challenging hike, however. It's perfect for those with teens or adults who think a 45 minute hike through a rainforest each way is a good time (we do). It's got about 500 feet of vertical drop to the beach so be prepared for a butt burning hike on your way back. You can also drive to the Beard's Hollow parking area and hike from there.
