This is a wonderful place for lunch. Good selection, soups, salads, sandwiches and deserts. Not fancy but good service and good eats.

“Killer pies and an all-around fun place to visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2012

Greenbank is a location on glorious South Whidbey Island that is primarily a series of vintage, reconditioned barns, a pond and master garden, community gardens, a swingset, a llama and alpaca pen and a large, open, hilly trail space for off-leash dog romping. The barns house a wine purveyor, a gallery, event space, a cheese shop, some business and Whidbey Pies and Café. A bright, intimate space filled with small tables on creaky hardwood floors is contained within plain wood whitewashed walls. The food is simple and it is excellent. The atmosphere is almost like picnicking. My albacore tuna melt on whole grain bread with gruyere was gone too soon. Each day brings a new soup de jour. And of course the PIES! The day we visited the pie menu consisted of cherry strawberry, strawberry rhubarb, rhubarb, loganberry, blueberry, marionberry, blackberry, mixed berry and I think an apple. On two separate occasions we bought a loganberry and a strawberry rhubarb to take home. The crust is delicious and a perfect consistency, the pie loaded with good stuff and not too sweet. This became our breakfast every day, what an indulgence. If you get up from your table for any reason, be aware a duck may wander in and try to steal your food!

“Relaxing afternoon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2012

We had a relaxing afternoon browsing through the shops, the winery and strolling through the beautiful gardens. We had lunch at Whidbey Pies right on the farm. The lunch was delicious. We bought to pies to take home, the Marionberry and the rhubarb. We had good pie other places while we were on the island, but these were the best!

“Fun for visitors, eat pie”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2012

The pie is good, the shops are full of art, the surrounding beaches are more fun. I would rather spend my time on the island at the beach, but if you are a shopper you may enjoy this place. The Sunday market is a little disappointing.

“Fun visit for shoppers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2012

Charming old farm complex turned community center / shopping area. Nice art galleries and cheese and wine shop. The best part though is the cafe where we had a very good lunch, and where we hear you can get the best pie on Whidbey Island.
