“Good, friendly service, good food, decor from the 70s”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2013

We stopped here for dinner on our way to visit the laser light show at the Grand Coulee Dam. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating, and recommended a great park to visit the next day for some sunshine and swimming (Spring Canyon). The décor is quite dated, but the food was good. Dinner includes a salad or soup, garlic bread and your entrée. Prices were reasonable and the rib eye steak was delicious. The prime rib was good, as was the special "Jack's butter" (I think that was it) for the baked potatoes. Like another reviewer states, the local all turn to look at you when you walk in, and will stop by your table to talk about what you ordered/how good it smells. The décor reminded us of our parents' homes in the 1970s. An update is needed, but the food is good for the price you pay. Stop in and see for yourself. But oh - the bar closes at 9 pm, so don't head back there for a drink or two after the laser light show at the dam.

“About what you'd expect”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2013

My first impression of this restaurant was that it must be where the locals go - the second we walked through the door, a dozen heads turned to look at us. They staff did a good job acknowledging us although they were clearly busy. It did feel, though, like they were going through the motions of service without actually providing much. The food was fine, but it was about the same price you'd expect from Red Robin with food that was just so-so. If I were in town again I'd probably try another place before going back.

“Good Old fashioned Diner”

Loved this place, not posh but great service and a good menu choice. Not too impresive looking from outside but service and food made up for it.

“OK food, filthy floor”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

The food at Pepper Jacks is OK if you stick to steaks and burgers. Any, anyway, there is not a lot of choice in this area.
But a real turnoff was the carpet. Another reviewer wrote that it look like it was installed when FDR was still in the White House. But what is really bad is that the waitresses clean off the table by wiping everything on the carpet where it sits as a very disgusting mess.
