“Great wine, fun tasting experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013 via mobile

On a rainy day here in the Gorge my husband and I decided to abandon our hiking plans in favor of a visit to this winery. We had enjoyed a bottle of the Syrah at a restaurant earlier in the week and when we found out how close the winery is to where we are staying we decided it was worth a visit. So glad we went! Our pourer was very knowledgeable about the wines we tasted and also about the winery and surrounding area. She was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We ended up striking up a conversation with another couple who were also tasting and it was just a really nice way to pass the afternoon.

I have to say that every wine we tried was excellent. We would definitely have had a case shipped home except we live in NY and it turns out that shipping there is pretty costly. That's not Maryhill's fault though. I don't have a single complaint about this place. We had a great time!

Also, we saw the concert area and it looks lovely. Would love to return for a performance if we are ever back this way.

“What a great place!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2013

My wife and I visit this winery on the Gorge every time we are in the area and it never disappoints. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good to excellent wines. I almost never leave without buying a case of wine and have it shipped to our home in Florida. This time they had a sale on their Proprietor Reserve Chardonnay. Cannot wait to receive it to break open a bottle.
The tasting room sits on top of the Gorge and you can see for many miles. On a clear day Mt Hood is very visible. The vineyard and fruit orchards sit below. Always take lots of pictures!

“Great wines, beautiful atmosphere on the Columbia River”

This is one of the nicest tasting environments I have seen. There is a large amphitheater that hosts great acts like Willie Nelson, Hall and Oates and others. The wine is great. Staff very friendly. Great stop.

“Wine and Willie”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

The Countryside was very relaxing and beautiful.
We went to Maryhill winery and enjoyed wine and Willie Nelson.
What a great place to go see a concert and have some Wine.
Thick green grass and wind blowing through your hair (if you have hair)
Our friends brought a picnic basket full of cheeses and breads.
I would highly suggest bringing fun snacks to enjoy with the wonderful wine.
Make sure you have a designated driver for this trip....enjoy.
