We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront Inn. The beauty and tranquility of the harbor, the quaint rooms and very adequate continental breakfast made for a unique experience.

Just spent a few days in this Inn. The negative reviews that I just read pretty much describe why there just have to be better places to stay in Gig Harbor. There is no hospitality. No warmth. No welcome. No feeling of 'we're glad you're here.' The breakfast is poor. There is no hot breakfast unless you want to boil water and help yourself to instant oatmeal. The daily breakfast consists of coffee cake, fruit, bagels, orange juice, and a yogurt (the only protein to be had). And I mean every day. Same bad orange juice, same coffee cake, same bagels, same fruit.

This place is way overpriced because of the location. A little more looking around will likely reveal a better place to stay when you're in Gig Harbor.

Our Inn promotes privacy and a peaceful getaway for our guests. We love to meet and interact with guests but also want to give them their space.
We provide a deluxe continental breakfast that we deliver on a tray outside the room for guests to pick up at their leisure. Then they can enjoy it in their own private sitting area by the fireplace and incredible view. Our goal is to make our guests happy and will continue to do everything we can to bring variety and quality to the breakfast.

Waterfront Inn is the best place for a private re-energization. It sits on the water at Gig Harbor with fabulous views, comfortable beds and a great continental breakfast to eat on the private deck over the water. Choose the Boathouse room....Watch ducks, geese and float planes while you read that book you've been meaning to read. Steve and Janis make the experience even more relaxing....a must stay!!

Walking distance to several restaurants including Anthony's with a great sunset meal deal!!

I was allowed to stay one night only (whereas the weekend policy is a minimum two night stay). That and the house's location are the only good points.
The room, though prettily furnished, smelled musty and there was a stain on the sheets.
The bathroom badly needs redecorating.
Although I arrived between 6:00 and 7:00 pm, I was told that I would find the keys on the door because the owners were out. Fair enough, they have a life.
Once I had opened the door, I heard voices coming from the kitchen, so the owners weren't yet gone. Yet no one came to welcome me, not even for a very quick "hello".
The lovely lounge on the ground floor with comfortable sofas is a no-guest zone, which is clearly marked on a folding screen so that other than the outside deck and your room, there is no place to relax (which leaves the room in case of bad weather).
Breakfast is brought up to your door on a tray and compared with other places, it is very poor. It's a case of help yourself to coffee and tea outside of your room and too bad if you drink neither and wanted milk.
I saw the owners just a couple of minutes so that they could debit my credit card.
Why have an establishment of this kind when you seek to avoid contact with your clients?

My wife and I recently stayed at the Gig Harbor Waterfront Inn B&B. The amenities were beyond expectations. With the room doors open, the sights & smells of a peaceful harbor were just 20 feet away. What a relaxing time we had. Breakfast on the attached dock; free use of their kayaks in the harbor; walking distance to great restaurants & shops. Fifteen minutes to Tacoma & its museums. Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing time. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 10! A definate "do over" again. Fabulous!

My husband and I recently stayed here and were very disappointed in everything but the view. The room is not ventilated and the fan was broken. The owner came and replaced it with another fan that didn't work. Finally the third fan worked. The only way to get air in the room is to sleep with the front door wide open. There is no carbon monoxide detector in the room either, and this is in violation of building code for a commercial unit with a propane/gas fireplace.
The towels were horrible and we only got three: two small bath towels and one hand towel. The jets in the jacuzzi tub shot water all over the bathroom and we had nothing to clean it up with. For $216 a night, we expected more for breakfast than token yogurt, danish, orange juice and some sour grapes left on a tray at our back door.
No one was there to check us in; we were told by email to let ourselves into the room. I never actually saw the innkeepers...my husband did only when the owner came down with a fan. The parking is not the best either. Very steep driveway and narrow. This would not be good for anyone who is elderly or who does not have good balance and cannot walk up a very steep driveway. We have stayed at B & Bs in the past, and we expected to be greeted by our hosts and shown some hospitality. I'm not even sure they were there at all since we never saw them. The best thing about this place is the view, which is right on the water with a great view of the harbor. Other than that, I would recommend staying at the Best Western Wesley in town. They are very hospitable and the rooms are great. The amenities at the Waterfront Inn are nonexistent. Don't waste your money!!

This B and B is all about the view...........right on the water with a great view...........the room is not five star, or four, about a three..........but what a view............Gig Harbor is beautiful...............if you dont mind old sheets, old towels (like you get at the gym) and dust bunnies under the bed then just enjoy the view..............it is about 15 minutes from downtown tacoma........walking distance to the town (Gig Hatbor).....with a great restaurant steps away
