“A stay at Gig Harbor RV Resort”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

We have been here for two years, recently new owners took over and they are reaching over dimes to pick up pennies. The pool is no longer heated and is often closed because it turns green. The restrooms are not cleaned well or swept and mopped. They have removed all paper towel dispensers from the restrooms and laundry room and put in cheap hand dryers that do not work well, trash is only picked up once a week now, the sites are no longer trimmed so weed are growing all over, its a shame too see what this park has become, it used to be beautiful and well maintained.

Room Tip: There are other campgrounds in the area, do some research!

We stayed here the week of July 4th. We stayed on the lower level which is on a hill, and the spaces are cut into the hillside. They are very wide and since they are tiered no one is right next to you looking in your windows. The spaces are dirt, but the park in in the woods so that's what you should expect. They were not totally level, but I put the front wheels up on two blocks and we were fine, (It took less than 5 minutes.) I can see that very large rigs could have a problem here, especially if they had to back in. Our rig is only 31' so I can back in to anything. In other reviews on other sites people have complained that the woman in the office is difficult to understand, which is true, but oh well, not everyone speaks perfect English. I've also read complaints about the pool, but I walked by it several times, and it looked fine and there were always several people swimming in it. It was really noisy on the 4th of July (not in the park, but from surrounding areas), but the rest of the week it was really quiet. The place is very neat and clean. They do not provide doggie bags which I think they need to do, but other than that we have no complaints. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have a 28' fifth wheel and we were put in spot 113. This spot didn't fit our fifth wheel without hanging into the street, despite the back being against a tree.

There was no place to park our truck. When we plugged in, the lines were overloaded and the whole park lost power on a very hot night. We knew our rig wouldn't cool off that night due to traveling in heat all day and wound up in a hotel.

Ashley provided great service through the entire experience but the owner was rude and yelled at us when we canceled our reservation.
