“Awesome place to run/bike”

This is a great trail for individuals looking for a quality trail to exercise on or a trail for families to stroll together. It is well paved and distances are clearly marked.

“Great place to wak and feel safe”

Very well lit paved trail that goes along side HW 16 from where we lived to Olympic Drive, so made for a great walk to and from dinners or the movie.

“Cushman Trail Review”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Excellent trail for walking, biking and dog walking. There are trash cans available for doggie waste bags so that is a plus. The paved trail is wide and allows for walkers and bikers to easily share the trail. If you get tired there are benches. At mid point of the trail there are restrooms and water for both people and dogs. Limited parking is available at the trail head. There are some views of Gig Harbor down below. I would highly recommend this as an outdoor activity for people of all ages.

“Great trail to bike, run, walk, stroll”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

I love cushman trail -- i must admit in town it can be hard to find where the connections are ... but it takes you across the tacoma narrows bridge from gig harbor and is very nice. there are some streets and cars to deal with along the way -- but where it is trail and no cars is the most pleasant.

“Short but Sweet”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

Not a long trail from a cycling perspective, but offers some variety with a couple of hills with 8 and 10% grades. Cyclists need to watch out for pedestrians and vice versa. Dogs are supposed to be on leash but beware that some owners try to get away with letting Rover run. There are benches in both sun and shade, good for a moment or two of meditation or reading along the way. Cyclists should also watch out for grass clippings on the asphalt when mowing is in progress--this can make the surface dangerously slippery.
