This was our second visit to JW'S and a marked improvement over our first experience. The restaurant was closed for the event and the staff did a great job of keeping the food coming and the wine available for drinking. It was a fixed menu as most wine pairings tend to be and each course was nicely complimented by the proffered wine. We will certainly attend another event of this type when it is offered as the price was reasonable for the quality of food and wine provided. The winemaker kept his comments brief and informational and was available for chatting after the meal. One nice touch was we were able to purchase wine at the dinner and take it home with us, a convenience so one doesn't have to try and remember what they enjoyed and then go hunt for that vintage elsewhere.

One of our daughters gave us a gift card for JW or we would probably never known it was there. Tucked along the shoreline in Gig Harbor and currently afflicted by road construction the restaurant is not distinctive from the outside. The inside space is limited with probably no more than 15 tables. However upon entering we were immediately met by a cheerful server who showed us to our table and brought a complimentary tasting of the wine of the day. Eschewing the modern practice of book-length menus, JW offers a limited selection of fresh appetizers, salads, and entrees that should offer something for most palates. The triple brie with crostini appetizer was sinful, the spinach salad delicious and the pork tenderloin perfectly tender and flavorful with a semi-glace mushroom sauce. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and service. A fine meal with a walk along the harbor afterwards - we will be back.

During your visit, your most likely to meet or be served by a family member. This place has about 15 tables, and is under a bar license, so you won't have any kids. Which....gives us a great excuse to get away from ours!

A very unique service, is when you are seated, they will bring you a tasting of the "wine of the night" it's a great way to discover new wine, and makes you feel incredibly welcome. The main menu changes 2 or 3 times a year, with specialty items that rotate on and off.

We've made special requests of the kitchen and they have always accommodated us. This is a small intimate setting, with excellent food. It's the best place in Gig Harbor for this type of meal. Try the wild boar, it's delicious.

Best cuisine in town for that date night. Beer and wine list is great. Dessert is even better. The best part about this restaurant is the amazing service and attention they give to make your night great. We will be back soon.

This was supposed to be a birthday dinner. Instead we spent an evening eating food that had no taste. I ordered the chicken and it tasted like grease and my husband had burned to a crisp beef. We left unhappy and we will never return. A few days later I called JW and they could of cared less about our meal. Bad food and poor customer service.
