I first stayed there 20 years ago while exploring South Whidbey Island. At various times I have also been a guest for extended stays - a month or more - as well as overnight. When living on the Island I always put up my own guests there. It is known locally as "everyone's guest room". It is exceptionally well run. All personnel including Owners, Manager, and the help are friendly, helpful, and competent.

We were pleased to get a room at all recently when we visited Whitbey Island. We decided last minute to go during high season and warm weather. We went on a wing and a prayer! Maybe not the smartest thing to do especially when we had a small dog. I phoned the Harbor Inn when we arrived in Langley and they just happened to have one pet friendly room available for the one night. The motel is just that, a motel. It is a bit outdated but it is very clean and the units are large. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and courteous. There are two good restaurants right near by. Unfortunately we didn't know that until after we had driven back into Langley looking for a restaurant. Be warned Langley seems to roll up the streets at 4pm. The shops close and we only found one restaurant open and one pizza joint. And this was high season. We wound up driving back to the motel and just happened to see two restaurants right nearby. Both were good. We were glad to get the room and would stay there again. Although wondering about the continental breakfast they advertise. It was non existant when we were there. I got the feeling perhaps the motel had change ownership.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the road. Our room was quiet but I think some rooms closer to the highway...

We stayed there Thur/Friday of Memorial Day weekend. We brought two “big” dogs with us (70 pounds & 45 pounds)-

First of all- thank you so much for being a pet friendly hotel!! And thank you for allowing bigger dogs (not just 30 pounds or less) and thank you for allowing multiple dogs!!

We wanted to take a fun doggie road trip and set our sights on Whidbey since there are so many off leash dog parks. We visited 3 of the 5 while we were there.

Your hotel was wonderful- clean, big rooms, beautiful big 2 acre setting, dog sheets provided (although I brought our own)- that gorgeous Wisteria we enjoyed every time we went to and from our room- great central location of the hotel on South Whidbey-

The dogs had so much fun and so did we! You also were kind to suggest the wonderful Front Street Grill restaurant in Coupeville- we hadn’t planned on going to Coupeville and because of your restaurant recommendation we made a point to go there and I’m so glad we did- the restaurant was charming- the little town was perfect for walking the dogs after dinner- there was a dock- and views everywhere- all the flowers were blooming- we had such a good time.

And you also recommended the dog friendly Useless Bay Coffee in Langley- another great town and perfect location for doggies- we sat outside and had lunch- the dogs had grass to lay on- there was a great live drumming Caribbean music band playing down the street- it was so relaxing and pleasant.

Someone also told us about the Saturday market that was not far away and we got to experience that too. I don’t know how we hit a good stretch of sunny warm days while we were there- two beautiful sunsets we enjoyed overlooking the water-

We had wanted to be with the dogs the whole time and really all have fun together- this trip and your hotel made it possible. Everything was so nice- You guys are wonderful!!

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Request a ground floor room if traveling with dogs.

I was in the area on business and selected the hotel from the 'net. The room was clean and large, but it was so worn and outdated, even the bathroom door was worn to bare wood, barely any woodstain left on it. The front desk person was helpful, but the place has no ammenities at all other than wifi and fridge. This isn't a place you would want to stay if you were on vacation but it's okay for business if you don't expect to be in the room much. There are no good eating places within walking distance which didn't make me happy but there was a great grocery store just across the street so could buy my breakfast foods there without driving.

A one night visit while traveling to a blues concert on Whidbey Island that turned out to be very enjoyable. The managers are wonderful, the rooms are HUGE and VERY clean. It included Wi-Fi, cable, quiet (no road noise) and there were a couple of restaurants close that provided good food, We will definitely stay there again when we return to Whidbey Island.

Room Tip: Lower rooms equal no stairs and lovely flowers outside the rooms.

We were in Langley for a family wedding and selected the Harbour Inn off the list of accommodations on the bride and groom's website. I emailed the inn ahead of time to ask for early check-in so we could get ready for the wedding and they accommodated this. When we arrived, we were taken aback because it wasn't very attractive. The innkeepers were friendly and our room was a surprise. We had spent the night at a chain motel the night before and the room at the Harbour Inn was much larger. Behind the main sleeping area was a dressing room with two big mirrors and a small fridge and microwave. The bathroom was separate and pretty ordinary. The separate dressing area made it much easier for two adults and a teen to get showered and ready. We love Whidbey Island and would stay at the Harbour Inn again.

Room Tip: A room away from the road would be a good idea. However, we were just a few doors down from the offi...

We stayed here two nights for our 30th anniversary. The woman checking us in was helpful. Our room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable, it was quiet and we had a good nights sleep. We forgot our camera battery charger in the room. We were notified that day, and it was mailed to us right away. It was a wonderful stay, we would go back again!

Room Tip: We stayed upstairs above the office, it was quiet.
