The really was not much to see in the town of Folks but this Motel was probably the best we could find. It is in a great location to explore the Olympic National Park and the nearby walks and beaches were great. We found the room excellent, clean and the rate was very reasonable for this the time of year being August. The receptionist was friendly and the breakfast was fine. There was not much to see in the town as the Twight experience is starting to get a bit stale. I have no problem recommending this property. It is basic, clean and well priced.

My husband and I go on vacation in September and we decided to come to Forks. Some for Twilight reasons but mostly for the area. We stayed here at The Dew Drop Inn. The things I didn't like is the room smelled a little musty and the drapes smelled like old cigarettes. There were some stains on the carpet. Overall the room (103) was a descent room. The beds were too hard though. Now for the good.....The breakfast was good. They had waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, english muffins, cereal, juice and danishes. The dog rooms faced a big dog area (grass). Would I stay here again? If there wasn't any other place, yes.

Stayed in the Bella suite on our honeymoon. The room was spacious and very nicely decorated. It had a basic bathroom and the breakfast served was pretty basic as well (limited choice). TV reception was not good, but the wifi worked perfectly and the hotel staff was really friendly and helpful.

Going into this vacation, I knew the town of Forks would probably not have a whole lot to offer. We stayed here for 2 reasons: Twilight and Olympic National Park (beaches and rainforests). I usually choose a hotel with a higher rating on this site, but I chose the Dew Drop because it offered a continental breakfast. It's tough to say if one of the higher rated properties in Forks would be better. None of the Forks properties looked that great, honestly.

The desk clerk who checked us in seemed a bit frazzled and inexperienced. She wound up following us to our room for a signature and for our vehicle information. The room rate was correct, so we had no problems there.

We arrived in our room, which had a fridge, microwave, 2 double beds, a very basic bathroom, and some outdated motel furnishings. Interestingly, we found a flat screen tv, and I never understand why a property puts so much into a tv rather than room furninshings. The mattresses and bedding were definiitely an older style, and the beds, overall, were not comfortable. In the room, the carpet had an imprint of an iron on it. The hot iron had obviously been dropped on the floor. We also found an extremely yellowed hair dryer that quite sadly, smelled like horrible body odor. We did not use it at all. They really need to replace the hair dryer rather than upgrade the tv. Also, in the tiny bathroom, a thick coating of dust coated the interior of one of the bathroom lights. The sheets and towels were clean, thankfully.

We found the continental breakfast acceptable, and it offered the typical pastries, bagels, breads, cereal, hard boiled eggs, and make your own waffles.

The location of the property was great for touring the beaches and rain forests, but I really could not recommend staying here. We were here for 2 nights, and that was plenty. The owners really need to take the money they are making (We paid $130 per night), which was plenty for the quality of room, and do some updating to bring this property up to speed. I am very surprised that the Dew Drop Motel has gotten as many positive reviews as it has.

Room Tip: Pacific Pizza, right across the road, is a good place to eat.

We stayed at the Dew Drop many times in 2009......for work, not for Twilight!!!!! The management is super......very friendly and helpful, and the folks who clean the rooms are great!!! Try to get a second floor room over-looking the horse pasture.........idyllic to watch in the evening and early morning. Ample and convenient serve yourself breakfast. We loved walking across the street to the Thriftway to pick up dinner from their Deli. We like Forks best on a slightly cold, overcast winter's day.......don't forget a visit to the wonderful Library!!

Stayed here as a stop off on the journey from Seattle to the Noh raiforest, great little hotel with decent rooms, good hot water, towels, beds, etc. Stayed on a ground floor unit with a patio door to the "garden" which was great to let th ekids run arounbd for a few minutes in the evening. Breakfast is simple but good with cereal, toast, waffles, that type of fare, and good coffee. Location is excelletn, a short walk to the "Coffee Shop" restaurant down the street and a big outfitter store across the road. Staff were friendly.
Recommed for a short stay.

Room Tip: Ground floor with patio door if you spend a bit of time

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Dew Drop Inn over Labor Day weekend. Our room rate was reasonable, and I was pleased with the motel overall. Our room was a large, angular, corner unit, that included a fridge, microwave, small table and 2 chairs, queen bed and standard bath.

On the plus side: this motel is spotless! Everything was in working order (room appliances, etc.,). But even better, it's situated in a perfect location for one to explore a variety of Olympic National Park sites. From the Dew Drop Inn, we drove to Sol Duc Falls, then to the beaches by La Push (First - ugh!, Second, and Rialto beaches - both beautiful!). We were also close enough to see the Hoh Rain Forest, Ruby Beach, Kalaloch and even Quinault Rain Forest. That made Forks - and this motel - a perfect base for day trips.

Across the street is a large grocery/clothing/hardware store, which made dinner plans easy. We ate meals in our room, and found that we had all the amenities we needed for an enjoyable stay.

The color scheme at the Dew Drop Inn made me think of New Orleans or Disneyland's Haunted Mansion: shades of mauve and turquoise in the halls and rooms, with merlot sateen bed covers - actually very colorful, if a bit on the feminine side. Furniture was standard oak style with fabric upholstery. Each room on the lower level has a very nice and semi-private patio area, too. That works nicely for warm summer evenings such as we had.

Some downsides: the bathroom sink is in the main room with bed and "kitchen" area. Um, maybe not the most amenable? But still, it was functional. And our shower curtain hung about half a foot too long ... so it draped onto the tub bottom, making for a potentially slippery hazard. And you're not going to get a complimentary breakfast food feast like you do at large chains (Fairfield, Hampton, Best Western, et al), so you have to be willing to "picnic" in your room or go out to eat. All rooms have a coffee service, though.

I would not hesitate to stay at this motel again when we visit the Olympic National Park. Having looked at the other motels leading into and around Forks, I'd have to say the Dew Drop Inn looked the best to us.
