Went with an annual guy backpacking group of friends. 6 guys rented 3 of the cabins for 3 nights. Upon arrival Tim was building a fire in the outdoor pavilion/gazebo. We wandered over and were delighted to be invited to an outdoor cookout of wild grouse and chicken done in a dutchoven over the coals. Whats the occassion we asked. Last day of summer...and your arrival, was the reply. Bill and Kitty are the owners and we spent all 3 nights there telling stories out by the fire, grilling and drinking good wine. We went to their archery range the second night and received expert instruction on how to operate a compound bow. The cabins are spacious and very attractively done inside and out. I would definitely recommend the place highly. Saw lots of elk too while we were there. Rick- Houston, Tx

I stayed in the Trapper cabin and it was amazing. I loved it. It's not too small, and not too big. The bed is so comfortable, slept like a princess. The owners may be the nicest people I met. I traveled alone and they took care of me, made me feel welcome and special. Their friends took me to the top of the mountains around the town(?) and the Hoh rain forest. It was stunning. Everyone in Forks are such a nice people. I really love the town and everything about it. Hope that I will be back in Forks someday, I truly miss it.

Loved this place...so many classy touches...monogrammed towel mat, lots of cute knick knacks, like the stuffed bear on the bed, carved bear clock, yummy smelling soaps etc.
We were in #1 which shares the cabin with #2. There was a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker (w/ pkgs of hot cider for non-coffee drinkers), a table and chairs...everything we needed for our one night stay.
The grounds are lovely, unfortunately we did not get a chance to check out the hot tub, but if it's anything like the rest of the place, I'll bet it was great.
As for the town of Forks...there were good and not so good. We had supper at The Smokehouse and it was horrible (see virtually all the TripAdvisor reviews).
The Twilight shops were fun and breakfast at the Forks Coffee Shop was great.
Bottom line....stay at the Huckleberry and don't eat at The Smokehouse...Trust Me!!

It's somewhat weird you can find such an amazing place just a minute off the main road in a gloomy town of Forks - but it's true!
The Trapper Cabin at Huckleberry Lodge was an absolutely unforgettable experince. This is a romantic place in a quiet forest, with the absolutely most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. The morning stroll to the river, with absoultely no people around, was a perfect way to start the day. And the price is unbelievably reasonable for such a gem.
If you stay at Forks, choosing regular motels on the main road would be the biggest mistake you'll ever make.

My friends and I stayed at the lodge for two nights, the room was clean and it was nice having a small kitchen. The owners are great, they invited us to an amazing campfire dinner with other cabin renters. I would definitely come again, the town is beautiful, the scenery amazing, and we even were greeted by elk one morning when we woke up. I highly recommend the Huckleberry Lodge. ~Irene Salt Lake City, Utah

When we pulled in from our 13hr trip flying in to SeaTac and driving in, we found Cottage #3 and a group of people sitting around a fire at the Gazebo right in front of it. I was alittle nervous! After we unloaded our luggage we took them up on their invite to join them. They had obviously previously had dinner out there and now were enjoying a glass of wine and a local beer or two. Come to find out, the attendees were the owners, the couple who run the owners other business, two guests, and the owner of the town pharmacy. Everyone was very friendly and even my private self enjoyed the company. They were able to recommend a good non-touristy places to eat and sights to make sure we didn't miss which each were spot on! Very welcoming and friendly people!

Cabin#3 is by the best place to stay. It is small but it is private, self-contained, and served as a great base camp to explore the many facets of Olympic National Park and Neah Bay - Perfect for a couple! We loved the skylights in the bathroom and kitchen.

They had electric space heaters to supplement the central ac/heat as well as a fan. Maid service everyday that was superior!

Didn't utilize the hot tub or the laundry facilities because they were in a completely different building.

And for those from Houston, make sure to ask about the prep tables in the gazebo! I thought the owner was pulling my tourist leg, but a little research online and it is plausible which makes it even cooler!

AT&T phone worked with a good Edge signal.

Only wishes - a thicker curtain on the front door/window.

To sum up - a GREAT place to stay, very nice, and don't forget to take the hike to the creek! And watch for Elk when your driving through the front gate!

We wanted to stay in the Forks area to explore the Hoh Rain forest and the beach areas of the Park. Huckleberry Lodge is really nice. We stayed in Room #1, which is half of a nice cottage shared with room 2. The room was clean, comfy, and nicely set-up. It had a small fridge, coffee maker, and a toaster. Grounds are nice also - we had access to hot tub, sauna and a washer/dryer (nice - after backpacking, we needed to do some laundry). Area was just outside the main drag in Forks, with a short walk down to the river. Very pretty. Only problem with the facilities is that the cottage that is shared (rooms 1 &2), the walls are not very sound proof - we could here everything next door (and I mean everything!). It was also a bit odd and inconvenient that there was no one from management present during our 3 day stay. The room was open and key on the table when we arrived. The owner was gone and the property manager was on vacation. The manager left a message on our phone to go on in. Any questions or problems and we had to ask the couple that was staying in one of the 3 or so RV spots they also rent out. They were very nice and helpful, but not really responsible for the place. If not for this, I would have given it 5 stars.
