“A peek at how the native-Americans live and work”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2012

Fortunately, we arrived during their annual festival, so we got to taste salmon cooked over alderwood and speak with many of the very friendly locals. We were invited into a home to look at some beautiful native-American art. Just ask where Jill lives.

“Pretty little area with a lovely beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

We made a brief stop here one evening on our way to Forks and were in total awe. The marine layer that was moving in had chased all but a few people off the beach so we had it pretty much to ourselves. The mist and fog changes the look and feel along the coast and adds some mystery, so we were not at all disappointed to miss a sunset. The sea stacks were amazing and the piles of driftwood that have gathered on the breaker provided some entertainment as we tried to maneuver our way out to get a better look at LaPush Beach and the reservation. We didn't meet any locals other than a few kids at a small grocery/general store as you come into town but the policeman who gave us directions how to get down to the beach was friendly and happy to help us out.

“Snag some freshly smoked salmon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2012

When you drive into the Reservation you will see signs for smoked salmon made by the Quileute Native Americans; get some of that and if the weather is nice, go down to the 1st beach by the resort to watch the waves, eagles, pelicans and maybe even a seal.
