The lodge and surroundings are fantastic! DO NOT EAT AT THE RESTAURANT! The food is terrible and extremely overly priced. Do yourself a favor and buy food before you go. Most cabins have a full kitchen.

Room Tip: Don't bother with spending more on a beach side cabin. They're all great!

Green Features: Water conservation is important to the lodge. You can opt out of cleaning bedding and towels on a nightly basis.

Stayed 2 nights. Room was nice but had odor of dog....brought it to the attention of management after I found dried urine in corner of bathroom. Strange that only half the room was made up the second day....the view of the beach was awesome. Great to go down the road and see the starfish and urchins on the rocks at low tide. The lodge gives you tide times. Too, great ideas for things to do. We were ale to find the Hoh rainforest trail and hiked 10 miles. Absolutely beautiful.

Stayed in a bluff cabin in July. We stayed in a queen bed cabin with a futon bed. It was plenty of room for three people. The room had a fridge, microwave, nice furniture, wood burning stove, walking sticks, flashlight, and binoculars. There is a wall heater in the cabin along with the wood burning stove, and wood is provided. The bathroom is very small, but functional. There is no tub, only a shower. The bluff cabin is about 10 feet from the edge of the bluff. I've never saw more spectacular views in my life. The only thing that I think needed more attention was the floor, the floor is entirely tile. It needed a good scrub with a mop, the floor had been swept but not mopped so when walking on it the bottom of your feet and socks got dirty. The hotel property also offers a nice gift shop and small grocery store. They also have an on site restaurant with a nice selection of foods. Overall if in the area again I would definitely stay here, the views are amazing!

We stayed two nights at this place and it was wonderful, even in the fog. Tidal time charts for the duration of our stay were in the room when we got there and walking sticks were ready to use. Walking sticks can be purchased in the Lodge Gift Shop if you want to get one to take home. The access to the beach is easier here than at some of the other beaches along the coast. The room we had was very comfortable and clean. The food at the Dining Room in the Lodge was very good, although a little pricey. Be prepared for no wi-fi and cell service was nearly non-existent. The paths in the woods are also nice to hike on in addition to walking along the beach. Be sure sto bring your camera!

We have come to Kalaloch Lodge over and over again. This was an especially important visit for our family as my husband is terminally ill with inoperable cancer. The Reservation desk made certain that there would be room. We were in a cabin. The cabin was very nice with excellent amenities, clean and relaxing. If you are looking for a realxing place this is it.

Room Tip: I would recommend the cabins

Our cabins was wonderful on the inside. The interior is log cabins style. The beds were super comfortable with down blankets and Pendleton blankets. The beds were so nice, my son and I spent a rainy morning reading in bed perfectly happy. Other nice touches included two walking stick in the room, a small stove, wood stove and nice quality dish ware unlike the usual mismatch cheap dishes you often get in hotels. The setting is beautiful, though it rained so we didn't go down to the beach. The restaurant has a sustainability theme and was decent though higher priced. The little market had a decent range of food items for a small store. You could find some dinner supplies there. They also made expresso drinks. A great choice for families with the kitchen option, beach and a well-stocked game closet. Our two queen room also had a futon couch.

Green Features: It was nice to read about their efforts and all of the related information on the hotel menu.

The entire area of Kalaloch and beyond was breathtaking! A family vacation spot 48 years ago. It is as magical now as it was then. Nature did not disappoint. Eagles, otters, bunnies, warblers and the list goes on. It all came to me as I sat in the front yard of my cabin. Beach was loaded with cool finds and endless photo opportunities. My little kitchen proved to be everything I needed. The onsite store had just about everything a person could need in a pinch.
