Stayed 3 days at the hotel for a conference. At the time of booking I didn't know the meeting would be held at the "showroom" which was at their other casino down the road. If I had known I would have to ride a shuttle or drive to the meeting I would have chosen to stay at another hotel. This one was okay, clean, lots of room, bathroom was roomy; but the AC/heater in the wall vibrated all night. The unit was on the same side as the bed and you could feel the vibration. The room was dated and the first night it smelled like something was burning. Did not like having to walk through the smokey casino to get to the lobby. Although we had a good rate and the staff was friendly, the security folks were a little scary.

Hotel is a combined hotel and casino. To get to the lobby you have to walk through a casino filled with cigarette smoke. The room smelled like smoke, emanating from the rug. The ac/fan combo could neither cool the room or get rid of the smell. Room was very clean and the little amenities were great but there is no reason to stay here. None.

My Girlfriend and I went to EQC and stayed for the Joan Jett concert. It was great. Customer Service was awsome, the room we got was great. Nonsmoking room did not smell like smoke, quiet rooms. Buffet was good, didnt get sick, decent selection. Definately returning!!!! The drinks were pretty weak, unless you order a double, just bring your own though!!! And the wifi sucked!!!

Room Tip: ask for rooms away from the elevator

I pass through Fife during numerous trips to the NW. My group has used the restaurant location to meet up with locals because of the convenient location frequently over the years. The food is ok but nothing special compared to the other similar buffets in the area.

We have to travel with our business equipment because of the nature of our travel, which had never been an issue with the Emerald Queen's complex or Buffet Restaurant before. However, for my party's last visit to the buffet, we were singled out for taking our laptop computers, camera equipment, and mobile phones by security. The guard, his superior, and their superior all demanded that we leave our devices in our car while we dined in their restaurant. This, in spite of the fact that they have signs posted all over their parking lots stating the dangers of theft of valuables in cars parked in their lots, valuables should not be left in cars, and they are not responsible for items that are. When asked about that little detail, the guard stated that "valuables" are a wallet or purse, not our approx. $10K in electronics. There was no option to check the items anyplace during our visit. Just in the car or a trunk if we had had one.

We promptly left. Will never be back.

You can draw your own conclusions as to why a business would intentionally do this to a loyal customer, or if in their ignorance just have absolutely no respect for their client's property.

Bottom line, stay away. There are countless restaurants in the area that respect and value patrons to their establishments.

We booked a room at the hotel as we had tickets to see a show at their companion property and the price was right. Unfortunately we won't be going back unless the show is a must see that we can't see at home.

The Hotel:

The lobby of the hotel is situated between 2 parts of the casino and as our room was on the 2nd floor, which is open to the lobby, the stench of cigarette smoke was a constant. Better seals around the room doors might help in minimizing that. We knew the smoke in the casino would be an issue but expected the rooms to be better and not like someone was lighting up next to us in our own room. Other than the smoke, the room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part.

The Shuttle:

The shuttle is not very convenient, running only every hour unless there's an event. The buses they were using initially only held 12 people so if you're not there early enough you'll be out of luck. They do seem to run a larger bus for events. It's free and if you don't care about waiting around it'll save you $10 in cab fare.

Casinos/Showroom:

A nice variety of machines, if you can find one open. On a busy weekend it's tough. It was also dirty which I would attribute to the sheer number of people. It looked slightly better in the morning after a clean up overnight but not much. Overall both casinos were dingy and sad looking, with the one at the showroom being slightly better with higher ceilings. Get to the casino/showroom early if you plan on eating before your show. Every food venue, right down to the sub place was packed with long lineups. At 6:15 the wait for a table in the restaurant was over 2 hours long.

The Food:

No complaints about the food once we were actually able to get some. The subs at the I5 location were delicious and reasonably priced. The Sunday Brunch at the Fife hotel location was good although a little overpriced.

The Concert Venue:

Unlike anything I have every seen but not complaints. For a cheap concert it was good. The seating is chairs lined up in rows on the floor. Comfortable but not great for seeing the stage if you have a tall person in front of you.

Perhaps we've been spoiled by Vegas, our local casinos or even the other WA state casinos like the Skagit, Silver Reef or Angel of the Winds, but we won't be going back to the the EQC any time soon.

Our first time staying at the EQC and it was very nice. The staff at the check in desk were polite and extremely helpful. The room was very nice and looked out at the pool/spa area so no noisy traffic. Nice amenities, great towels and toiletry items. Neat little 1-cup coffee maker. Beds were great - very comfy and the room was not too warm or too cool. All-in-all, a very good experience. Also, if you are going to see a show at the other location, you can take the shuttle to and from and there is a discounted room rate.

This is a review for the casino/hotel in Fife. We were treated well and the location is good and convenient to I5. There are only slot machines here and limited eating options. The "sandwich bar" was busy and not very clean on the night we were there. We caught the shuttle over to the "main" casino for a concert and to play craps and other table games. The shuttle took awhile but it was a very busy night. All in all okay stay.
