Large spacious rooms, competitively priced. There are some environmental problems as the smokey casino floor is detectable throughout the property. Well soundproofed. Attentiveness of Front desk staff is inconsistent and food services merely average, but the convenience factor trumps all. Parking is a bit of a wild west show, but is constantly patrolled and is undoubtedly secure.

Stayed for an overnight get away and were impressed. The parking was not an issue, which is probably a function on the day of the week and time that you arrive. The room
was spacious, bathroom well-appointed and shower good. Wifi signal was good and beds very comfortable. We didn't gamble and spent our time in the pool and enjoying the breakfast at the Red River Cafe in the morning. The only minor drawback was that there was no wifi signal by the pool. Price was great and we will be back!

This Casino is poorly designed and overloaded with even just a few guests, the air exchange system is insufficient in my opinion, there is a smokey haze and un attended, used ashtrays on the machines the bar holds about 40 patrons and there are few tables. There is no reserved parking for hotel guests so its all out war to find parking space. People are frustrated and yelling at each other in the parking lot. I told the on duty manager and he said "yeah pretty bed isn't it?" In other words "I could care less" ! This resort is in a poor location it's 80 miles from Seattle, the only thing it's close to is fast food chains and swampland.

Hi Ba88,

We're sorry to hear that you had some concerns about your last stay with us. We feel very strongly that our casino is well designed as our capacity for slot gaming is almost 1,000 slot machines. Even at our peak times we're not reaching full capacity. We feel that our air exchange units do a great job of turning old air with clean air and depending on where you are to a person who is smoking, it could seem like there is not a good system in place. As for our parking lot, we're going through some growing pains with our expansion, but in May of 2013, we'll have 300 new parking spots available. Our hotel guests have grown quite fond of their reserved parking just east of the hotel and apologize if the reserved parking sign is not visible enough.

Our guests love the fact that we're only about 4 minutes west of I-5 as it's any easy way to get off the freeway and easy access back on.

We sincerely hope you will give us another try very soon.

Thank you for your feedback and we look forward to serving you again.

The Staff have gone out of there way to make sure our stay was , pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable.
The Room was large, Very clean, & the bathroom was sparkling. Both times there were 9 of us and at check in the hotel able place us next door or across the from each other, much to our delight.
The casino while super large had all the games of chance we like. On this trip the Slot area was being redone so that area was a little smaller. None of the work was an inconvenience.
the complementary breakfast buffet was above expectation.
Both check in & checkout were seamless.

Room Tip: Both times we were on the 5th floor and experienced no noise, from the entrance and parking lot.

I had the experience to spend one night here with a friend. It was her 20th time, and I imagine that casino hotels get a lot of repeating guests, however it will be nice unless once to be welcome back to a place where you are staying often. Great staff, and very professional.
Room are very spacious and large bathrooms, and love the amenities.
We will have for sure at the end of the month....forgot to mentioned...breakfast included which it was a nice add on for the price that you paid for the room.

Cheers

I wrote about this Casino recently and gave it a rave review. I would go every chance I could get. In comparison to other Casinos it was a good and fun little Casino to go to on a Friday or Saturday night. Since they have done their reovations they have tightened it up so badly that you go through your money like crazy and do not get any entertainment value for your money. This Casino used to be so busy and now it is very quiet (people are not going anymore). You speak to the staff and tell them that it is so tight it is painful to play and they say they hear this same complaint over and over again from other patrons and the management dosn't get it. They did tighten the machines and it is affecting business. Some of staff members told us that t being so slow it is affecting their wages and or any tips or gratuaties they used to receive. This Casino is on a reserve and it does not have to follow state laws as to what the payouts are. It can do whatever it wants. This casino is fairly isolated and if you don't like what is going on you are stuck there. I do not expect to walk out of a casino with money usually if I win I put it back in the machines so they get it back in the longrun. Getting a decent bonus is part of playing and having fun, excitement and staying longer. I do no consider $1.75 a bonus after stuffing 50 or 60 dollars into a machine I find it an insult. No I did not have a bad day since they remodled this casino this is the norm I have gone several times thinking I did have a few bad da;ys. It is not the case other patrons feel the same. If you like playing slots I would not reccomend going there or staying there . Like I said it is fairly isolated and there is not much to do there and if you want to go shopping or something you have to drive a fair way to go to the mall.

Thank you for contacting Silver Reef Hotel Casino Spa. We are very sorry that we did not meet or exceed your expectations. Please be assured that we will communicate your concerns about our slot machines to the appropriate person(s). We strive to 'Go for Great, Every Guest Every Time.' As for our proximity to the Bellis Fair Mall, we feel our property is very close as it is less than a 10 min drive.

As for our employees, we have heard time and again how much they love working at Silver Reef and that our wages and benefits are very competitive. We are very proud that we won Best Employer in last year's Bellingham Alive magazine's annual awards.

We value your patronage and we value your input even more. Thanks for taking the time to let us know how we can improve.

Stayed here with a Dr. Hook package. Room was wonderful. Gambling was fun Was disappointed at the Prime Rib Buffet as we ordered a second chocolate, and were told we would have to pay for it??!!!!! First time we had it where we had to pay for a second beverage. (at a buffet). Had lunch at Panasia and they brought us free pop without even having to ask. Maybe the buffet people can learn a lesson from the Asian restaurant. Food at both places was very good, and machines paid well. Continental breakfast was good, but offered no bacon or sausage at 7:30 am. Do not know if it was offered later, as to when we were leaving they brought biscuits and gravy. I would think if breakfast started at 6, that this would all be out and ready to eat. Would come back, but would probably not eat at the buffet.

Thank you for your response on TripAdvisor.com. We value your input and will ensure that we communicate your feedback to the appropriate food and beverage staff. We believe our Silver Signature Breakfast which is free to all hotel guests is very competitive to most hotel amenities in the area. There are bacon and saugage menu items as we do have a small fee for each.

We value your patronage and more importantly we value your input.

We hope to see you back very soon!
