“nice weekend getaway”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2011

stayed at this property for the first time in July 2011. Be aware that the hotel/casino itself are fairly nice but this property is very isolated from anything else. It is not close to anything so plan to do any shopping or sightseeing earlier in the day and then settle in to enjoy the
resort amenities later in the day. We chose a deluxe suite which looked out towards the west and offered distant views of the ocean. The room itself was average but I did hear the executive suites on the 6th floor are far nicer and with ore amenities. The service at the hotel is fairly good and although small the pool area nice for relaxing. The casino itself has fairly loose slots which enabled us to play for quite awhile. We signed up for diamond dividens cards which gives you a lot of immediate perks. We were able to use our coupon that same day in te steak house restaurant which was superb. Best restaurant we have eaten in for a long time but pricey. Your coupon takes a nice chunk out of the bill though. Very nice and reasonably proced martini's repared tableside which was also great. Overall a nice place to spend a weekend away.

Made into a guys-Golf-Casino weekend. I have stayed here in the past but this is the first time writing a review. Great spa set up, comes with a decent pool, hot tub and 2x sauna. Room is decorated tastefully and kept well maintained. It is located off the beaten path so if you are planning to gamble and have few cocktails, please get a room. Table games are great, lot of slots (I'm not a slot player so I can't tell you what these bad boys are like). Meal at Pan Asia is great... others not so much. My only complaint? The rate seems to be on the pricey end but they seem to book the rooms at 100% capacity every weekend. So they must be doing something right.

Doesn't look like much on the outside but it is beautiful on the inside. The room was one of the nicest I have stayed in and had wonderful amenities. The bed was super comfy and the bedding was excellent quality. The bathroom was large and super clean. Loved the shampoos, conditioners, etc that came with the room. Ate at the buffet that night and it was pretty bad. I would not recommend spending that $15. Order off the menu or in one of their other restaurants. Breakfast in the morning was typical, like a hampton inn, waffles, fruit but there were some hot items as well, scrambled eggs and the like. Service was wonderful and friendly and this was an excellent bargain. As far as the casino, it was beautiful but I didn't gamble. I was there on a business trip. Would definitely book this hotel again.

Nice rooms, clean and comfortable. Casino was a little small but good variety of games. Located a little off the beaten track. Cafe restaurant was not quite up to par... could be better.

We stayed in a Diamond Executive King room. The rooms are exactly the same as other floors, but I think for the difference of $20 it's worth it to be on the top floor (six floors). This also included the use of robes and slippers, nice chocolates left on the pillows and the use of the private sixth floor lounge, which was very nice. The bed was very comfy and the room nicely decorated and clean.

The pool is a bit small, but nice and the hot tub is nice. There is also a sauna and a steam room.

The seafood buffet was not very big, and I'd say average for the price. Be sure to stop by The Barista in the casino and try an eclair. They're huge!

The casino is quite nice and has a non-smoking section, although it's not really separated from the smoking section. If you play table games, you pretty much have to do it in the smoking section because there are only a few tables in the non-smoking section and they were pretty dead, however we were there on a weeknight. The smoking section has pretty good ventilation and isn't as bad as some I've been to - again, this was a weeknight so weekends might be smokier. Pop and bottled water are free in the casino. Alcoholic beverages are very reasonable - margaritas $3.75 and pints of beer $2.50. Make sure you sign up for the Diamond Dividends card to get a $5 slot play voucher, $5 match play voucher for tables, and a $5 food and beverage voucher.

We will definitely be back and will recommend to others. It is close to the border and close to Bellingham.

Room Tip: Pay the extra $20 for Diamond Executive level.
