“Pretty good hotel, convenient to Interstate”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2012

Stayed here August 24th. Needed one more night in US and Bellingham was booked. If you stay here just remember you will need to make a U turn at the lights after you pass the hotel after coming off Interstate (either north or southbound). There is a concrete divider on roadway.
Room was clean, big (we got the king suite for $10 more). Fridge and microwave. TVs are old style, but worked. Room was amazingly quiet for being close to freeway, and there were quite a few cars in the parking lot. Beds very comfy.
Breakfast is not bad, but room for eating is pretty small. Staff is very good and super helpful.
Only negative was the security latch that keeps door from being opened all the way was broken off. Kind of makes you wonder how it happened, and why it wasn't fixed. (Third floor if management reads this!)
There is a rec center to the east as well as gas stations and supermarkets. Overall pretty good, and the price was right.

Room Tip: We stayed on third floor hoping it would be quieter, it was very quiet.

This hotel is near the freeway and a busy street - easy on and off - but not an attractive area to walk around in. We were surprised that there was no frig in our room - but the staff helped us out by putting our small cooler in their big frig in the kitchen.
We had 2 double beds which were very comfortable, and in fact we had our best sleep in seven nights on the road.
The staff were friendly, the room was clean.
We had to sit on the bed to watch TV.
The AC was very quiet, and the room was a perfect temperature.

Dear Guest,
I would like to apologize for not providing you a great stay with our property. You stayed in one of the standard rooms and they don't have microwave or refrigerator , but we do have larger rooms that may better accommodate you in the future.
We appreciate your feedback . I do hope that we have the opportunity to serve you in the near future.
Thanks.

Friendly staff that went out of their way to accommodate a room change request. Room was clean and roomy. Wifi is a decent speed. Hot breakfast provided 6-9 am. Located right off of Route 5, so is easy to find.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for queen beds if that is what you need. We started with 2 doubles... very small f...

when we checked in, the staff greeted us with smile, they were out of 2 queen beds so they upgraded to king suite with awesome price which was about $90 a night for 3 nights stay. the room was very clean, spacious. breakfast was good as well.

We had stayed here before, because we were able to get a good last-minute deal. When we were in the area again it was out first choice as it is close to the Seattle Premium Outlets. We stayed two nights in a queen suite, which had a hide-a- bed. The latter was passable for comfort and I slept soundly. That is in spite of the walls being so thin I could hear the radio going and people intermittently screaming, singing and banging around in the room next door earlier in the evening as well as running, walking and doors slamming in the corridor. Also the room was warm - even with the air conditioning on full it wouldn't reach the bed across the room behind a partition wall. The breakfast room was a convenient extra. The single staffer had a hard time keeping some food stocked up at times, or even moving around a very cramped serving area. The staff are very friendly and take pride in what they do, especially the housekeeping staff. It was convenient to get the bill under the door the morning we checked out, so we could leave our keys in the room and go without going to the desk. The closest restaurant was the Irish pub across the street which had a great food and great service when we went for dinner.

Room Tip: Ice machines are on the 1st and 3rd floors, to avoid the noise, take a room on 2nd or 4th

Checkin

Greeted by sign on breakfast juice machine - out of order.

There was no staff to greet us, just a sign telling us to wait 5 minutes. Other people were waiting too. Not fun after being on the road. Turns out 3 people were on staff. Who knows where all they were.

Opon checking in, we proceeded to our room. Dirty hallway carpet. Kids unruly since they were waiting in the lobby for the staff to return, resulting in noise complaint delivered to room by staff wihout identification asking to be let in. Uh... No.

Room report - suite ample size. Air conditioner off on arrival so stuffy. Tv remote had no battery. Internet wifi did not work (network shows up but keeps dropping connection)

Bed - huge cigarette burn on blanket. Asked for replacement. They brought sheets. Came back with same blanket, could not find another and said hotel was overbooked so could not get from another room (mind you this was a no smoking room)

Called to complain to front desk. They kept saying "sorry" but offered no explanations or solutions. Asked for manager. Apparently no manager on duty but told I could talk to Mariana in the morning at 6am. I wonder if she knows what is going on I the hotel after she leaves for the day.

I stayed at this location for 1 night on our way back to Vancouver from travelling out of Seatac in May 2012. We chose this hotel because of the price (less than $100 a stay-after taxes) and because we already had a great experience with Quality Inn in Monterey. Thought we give this a try closer to home since everything close to Seattle and Maryville (Where the outlets are) were more expensive.

We were very happy with our arrival. There were delicious Oatmeal Raisin cookies at the front desk for the taking upon check-in. For less than $100 altogether, we got a King suite. The suite was very clean and comfortable. A fridge and microwave were also part of the room. This made dinner pretty simple since an Albertson's was only a 5 minute drive away.

We also made use of the exercise room. Nothing fancy. There was only one treadmill. The equipment was very minimal, but good enough for a short workout. Nearby the workout room was also the laundry room. I believe it was coin-operated so it didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Breakfast was your standard chain meal-juice, pastries, toast, cereal, and make-your-own-waffles. It was more than good enough for the both of us, although I heard one guy get really upset because they had run out of eggs that morning.

My only complaint was the room safe. While I was exempted from the $1.50 user fee because I was a choice.com member, the safe didn't seem to work properly and they couldn't get someone to fix it until the next day.

It's a short drive( less than 20 minutes) away from the Seattle Premium Outlets. A great alternative to staying Tulalip Casino and the Holiday Inn Express at Exit 200. I will be returning here for a second stay later this month.

Room Tip: Sign up to be a member at Choice.com and get the safe access fee waived.
