“It's a great place for everett.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

We bought some furniture at a furniture store next door and the sign intrigued me, so we ended up going to dinner there (it also happened to be our 1 year anniversary). I will be writing this review with keeping in mind that the place is located in Everett, WA, so my judgment is on a sliding scale in Everett's favor, since it's not exactly known for delicious food.

The atmosphere at the place is superb -- the decorations and the music are typical 1920's and the style is held up throughout. Our server was very down to earth and courteous. The food came out pretty fast (although we were literally the only people there at the time due to Seafair in Seattle that day).

We ordered two steak specials. The steaks were o.k. and so were the mash potatoes. The accompanying veggies, soup, and salad don't really deserve a mention, but it wasn't completely horrible. The highlight of my dinner was the toasted french bread. I swear, i can probably eat an entire loaf if they had it as an option for a side order! It was SUPER delicious, as was the sauce on the steak and the potatoes.

The bill fit the food quality well. We weren't exactly pleasantly surprised, but weren't disappointed either. I'll take $30 for two steak dinners. Even if it's Everett quality.

(Now this review is coming from a couple with completely spoiled taste buds, who are known to eat out at fancy places all over the country and the world. Something to keep in mind).

“First time in over a year”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2013

Visited the vintage about 1 month ago for the first time in a year. We used to go 3-4 times per month, but the food and service just kept going down hill. The final straw was when they took away my Mac and Jack. It was easier to just buy the beer all from the same distributor. Thats fine if you want the same pale big company beer.

When we went last month there were probably 3-4 tables occupied when we got there and we were the last one to leave and it was before 9:00. Can see how they can justify keeping the place open. Most likely its the downtown Everett games and other events that provide enough traffic.

“Stumbled Upon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2013

My husband and I stayed at a Bed and Breakfast in Everett in February. Our hostess advised us of many nice restaurants on the waterfront. We drove down there but everything was full. We decided to drive into town and see If we could find a nice place to eat. We saw the Vintage Cafe and decided it looked like it would be a good place. We are fans of diner type restaurants. We luckily arrived just before a large family celebrating a birthday. We were very pleasantly surprised. Both the staff and the restaurant itself were excellent. We both had a drink, dinner and dessert, and thoroughly enjoyed it. They have lots of "comfort, home coking" choices. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and look forward to going back when we visit Everett again.
