We bought some furniture at a furniture store next door and the sign intrigued me, so we ended up going to dinner there (it also happened to be our 1 year anniversary). I will be writing this review with keeping in mind that the place is located in Everett, WA, so my judgment is on a sliding scale in Everett's favor, since it's not exactly known for delicious food.
The atmosphere at the place is superb -- the decorations and the music are typical 1920's and the style is held up throughout. Our server was very down to earth and courteous. The food came out pretty fast (although we were literally the only people there at the time due to Seafair in Seattle that day).
We ordered two steak specials. The steaks were o.k. and so were the mash potatoes. The accompanying veggies, soup, and salad don't really deserve a mention, but it wasn't completely horrible. The highlight of my dinner was the toasted french bread. I swear, i can probably eat an entire loaf if they had it as an option for a side order! It was SUPER delicious, as was the sauce on the steak and the potatoes.
The bill fit the food quality well. We weren't exactly pleasantly surprised, but weren't disappointed either. I'll take $30 for two steak dinners. Even if it's Everett quality.
(Now this review is coming from a couple with completely spoiled taste buds, who are known to eat out at fancy places all over the country and the world. Something to keep in mind).
