“Great place for lunch.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

Quaint cafe in a very bright yellow former church.
We ordered two Lunch Combos and one Quiche with Salad.
The Lunch Combos included their signature Heavenly Bread, salad and soup. The Heavenly Bread is indeed devine! It was served warm, covered in herbs and cheese. Enjoyed a house salad with house made Mandarin Vinaigrette that was very light, fresh, yet flavorful. Our soup was a Ribeye Chili with great spicy flavor. (Also ordered one Potato soup but after tasting the Ribeye Chili asked to switch, as we definitely liked it better.)
The Quiche of the day was with Artichoke and Spinach. Very tasty and a nice portion.

“Great Local Cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013 via mobile

We stopped into YCC for lunch on our way to Spokane, and we were treated to some good food and reasonable prices in a unique atmosphere. We got an order of their signature heavenly bread, and concur that it's something you have to try at least once. Think of a savory, giant cinnamon roll with cheese and seasoning instead of cinnamon, and you'll have an idea of what it was like. They are giant and can feed four as an appetizer.

The quiche Lorraine was awesome, and the crust rivaled my wife's homemade, which is saying a lot. Tillamook cheddar cheese is used on several dishes, including the grilled cheese, which my daughter gobbled up. We also had a great BLT, with arugula instead of lettuce, and a soup and salad combo.

Everybody left full and satisfied, and we now have a favorite local place in Ellensburg to come back to.

“Glad I stopped”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

I was traveling through Ellensburg, looking for a good place for a late breakfast/brunch and saw a sidewalk sign outside a bright yellow building. The old church was a relaxing place to eat. The breakfast skillet was tasty, and huge. Will be sure to stop again when I am in the area.

“For both locals and tourists alike, a great place for lunch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

The Yellow Church Cafe was a nice surprise for lunch, and we definitely will go again! We stopped here on our way from Big Sky, MT, traveling to Seattle. Ellensburg is a nice college town and the Yellow Church is a unique and tasty spot to enjoy brunch, lunch, or dinner. Our server was Tanner and he was friendly and tentative. We had the house quiche, two cups soup (the clam chowder and the chicken curry) and the ahi tuna salad. All were nicely done and seemed very fresh. The restaurant also has a beer/wine license, which is nice if you want "communion" while dining. Overall, I give this restaurant a wonderful recommendation.

“Always excellent!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

I've visited The Yellow Church Cafe many times and love the food, service, and ambiance. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it's always great. Try the Thai Curry Chicken for dinner - it's a home run, no, make that a grand slam. Pair your dinner with some of their outstanding wines - you won't be disappointed. I've noticed that the number of good, upscale dining establishments in Ellensburg has declined so please be sure to support The Yellow Church! We deserve better than fast food.
