Went in thinking this was a quaint little place in downtown Edmonds and after reading the menu we thought the food sounded awesome. Not so, after we waited 30 minutes(!) for supposedly "gourmet" $11 sandwich and $11 salad, (which turned out to be canned chicken on bagged lettuce), we were pretty angry. The staff was unapologetic, and preferred to stand around and socialize while angry customers waited...and waited...and waited for our orders. We left feeling like this place reached into our pockets and stole our money. Won't go back again, ever.

If you love home baked pastries, cookies and home made soup, this restaurant will suite you. However, i have had their soup served too salty at times ... and it was ineditable to my wife and me. Others may have a better tolerance for salty food. Their coffee drinks aren't the best either. Still, their chocolate chip cookies and other baked goodies are gifts from God. Many times, I'll just go in to buy the cookie, then go to another coffee shop for the coffee. Place si a little pricey, but for home cooked, comfort food, Red Twig is worth visiting.

We ate at Red Twig for the first time last weekend--lunch. The food was a bit spendy ($26 for lunch for 2 of us) but the sandwiches were great. The bread even appeared to be artisan made. So good. Friendly staff, good service. We'll go there again!
