Description: A perfect gathering place for friends and family, Scott's is cheerful and friendly, warm and comfortable. We have a versatile menu that lends itself to a variety of moods...a celebration dinner to a casual snack...reassuring food with an occasional surprise. Good times, good food and good people make Scott's the Northend's favorite neighborhood bar & grill.

I eat here lots-why? Snohomish county has a dearth of restaurants. This is the first stop with the promise of something edible (with the exception of some ethnic restaurants). Their food is good albeit chain and not too inspired. The French Onion soup is very good when it is "on". Not sure why there is such a difference. Their Maytag Blue Cheese salad is good, especially with shrimp. Their fish is well prepared and usually pretty good.

Service is extremely spotty, especially in the bar. Prices are quite high for the quality of food.

if you're seated before 6PM you can order the early bird special ($21.95). Make sure you ask for that menu since it was not automatically given to us. It includes a choice of soup and/or salad, the various main courses from Sea Scallops to Wild Alaskan Salmon, a Chicken dish and something else I cannot remember, your dessert (whiskey ice cream or some sorbets, mousse, etc.)

We opted for the salmon and it was a good sized piece cooked to absolute perfection. Liked the red jacket mashed potatoes but did not care for the veggies which were kind of tasteless and mushy. As a soup I had ordered the onion soup which was very nice as wekk as the whiskey ice cream. Tea or coffes is also included if you wish to order it. My husband had the same thing I had except he chose a salad which he liked.. Our friends ordered some appetizers and salad and skipped all other choices. They liked their food which looked rather appealing and was nicely presented.
The early bird is a couple of dollars higher than at some other Edmonds restaurants but based on the regular menu this is a bargain. The service was very attentive. The restaurant was incredibly crowded and reservations would probably be advisable.

The regular dinner menu is almost overwhelmingly extensive. The interior decor is pretty much a left over from the Clinkerdagger Bickerstaff and Pets area; doesn't do much for me.

Out of the three dishes we ordered, two were below average and one was very good. We weren't overly impressed but willing to give them another shot as we have heard good things from others that have been there and it seems like a nice place. They were very busy so maybe we just came at a bad time.

Scotts is, for us, a neighborhood restaurant. It is about three miles from home and we eat there often. Generally we try to eat in the bar but the dining room is large and excellent as well. The menu is the same. This restaurant has a varied menu ranging from a hamburger to fine steaks and seafood. The prices are reasonable. The rigatoni Bolognese is simply the best in the area but maybe a bit spicy for some folks. Their steak salad is outstanding as is the Maytag Blue salad with shrimp. The often have halibut cheeks as a special. This is an outstanding restaurant even though it is corporate.

My wife go out to dinner regular and we have been going to Scott's for years. Last summer on a very hot night we went to Scott's and it was extremely hot. When I asked they said they don't have air conditioning. Last night we went back to give them another try. The outside temperature was about 20 degrees. We were seated in the middle of the dinning room and had very cold air blowing on us. When asked they said their HVAC system wasn't work right. Fortunately they were able to move us and we had a very nice meal. I would describe the staff as very accommodating. My last gripe is that they changed the lights to those new energy saver bulbs and I would have to say the center of the restaurant was as bright as a Mc Donald's! I hope the owners/mgr read this and do something with the lights as the current set up has killed the ambiance.
