My husband and I stayed at the Eastsound Suites above this property. We were walking to dinner one night and the owner was still inside working. He came out and offered us two scones. Told us to come back and he would heat them if we had coffee ("please don't put in microwave"). Fortunately, we had an oven and heated them in there. Being he was so nice, we went back that morning for a very tasty latte. We watched as he and his employees busily worked in the kitchen. The night before we were leaving the islands, we went in to wish him luck (they opened just a few months ago) and say goodbye. He came out and gave us two more scones. I asked him if we could have them for dessert (we had just finished dinner) and he came out with a large chocolate yummy muffin which my husband and I devoured in seconds. Although we only paid for the lattes, the scones and muffin were delicious. Hoping him and his partner the best of success in the adventure.

Looks like a huge investments in this bakery. Locals waited for all the upgrades to be installed and it was certainly worth the wait.
The Salmon and Leek Quiche were heavenly!
I had a Sasquatch cookie but had to buy a second just incase I couldn't make it back.
Latte was obviously made with cream and a lot of either love or care cause it was fantastic.
Owners are artisans who are sparing no expense of upgrades to this place. Smart, clean and delicious!!! I hear bread oven is being custom built back East for them lined with stone for that incredible finish to their bread.

Brown Bear replaced the incredible Wildflower Bakery. Brown Bear is okay, but it's not the Wildflower. Bread pudding, cookies and coffee were good. Poppyseed muffins were flat and stale. Nice porch to hang out on in good weather.
