Its a Tavern... so don't go expecting a romantic fancy dinner. But if you want good food at a fair price...this is your place. Plus they're open when many others are not. I don't live on the island and so I don't eat here but a few times a year, but I have always enjoyed a great meal here. Most menu items have nice homestyle touch---like the coleslaw which is nicely dressed and with a few extra ingredients like bell peppers to make it better than most. Burgers are big and loaded with nice fresh veggies and good-quality condiments. The halibut is very well prepared and, although deep-fried, keeps its mild flavor and not over cooked. Their french fries are good but could be better---good when HOT, but quickly fall off the flavor/texture wagon as they cool. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering that eateries on the island are usually a little pricey or servings small for the price.
