Small house, comfortably furnished with a thoughtful menu. Fresh pan fried oysters and Veal Picatta were well prepared and certainly more of a taste treat than we would have expected to find in such a small, out of the way place. The friendly hostess was also a plus. Made for a relaxed and pleasant meal. When most of the meals come from Sysco restaurant supply in these out of the way places, this was a pleasant surprise. A bit spendy but considering the cost of bringing in fresh food so far out... to be expected.

We were intrigued with all the excellent reviews this restaurant has received. So, we booked a dinner there in June. We found the restaurant to be small, but with more large families than expected. The cooking was very good with a fine meal for both my wife and I. The wine selection was a bit short given the proximity to the Walla Walla wine area. The most significant short fall was in the area of wine glasses. During our dinner, there was only one size/shape of glass for the different wines and they were ordinary (Libby?) glasses. Not what one would have expected for such a highly rated restaurant.

This was a wonderful little restaurant in Dayton, WA. It is a small restaurant so reservations are necessary. We arrived a little ahead of our reservation time and we were seated promptly. At first the decor seemed to be lacking something, but the more we were there, we felt it added to the experience. The waitress that served us was very friendly and when we asked questions that she didn't know the answer to, she got the answer for us. The food was exceptional. I had a steak and my girlfiriend had a fish dish. Both were wonderful. The wine selection was great. There was not much knowledge about the wines which was a little strange since we were in the midddle of wine country. The owner/chef came out and asked us how we enjoyed our meal. Dessert was great....

We enjoy road trips through remote areas of the northwest. Finding good food in some of these areas is definitely hit-and-miss. Dayton, Washington is blessed with a restaurant that would be highly rated in any location. We were a group of eight couples traveling together and made reservations well ahead of time. Patit Creek worked with us to make sure that our dinner was outstanding. Quality food thoughtfully and elegantly prepared and presented, wonderful wine list and outstanding, casual but professional service.
