This small family owned and run winery is about 6 miles West of Dayton. If you're visiting Walla Walla and staying in Dayton (highly recommended), make sure and stop into Dumas.
As I said, its small, but the tasting room is really great, with some neat features (you find them)
The wines we tasted were great, full bodied Cabs and blends. There aren't too many wineries I go away with wine from as I can always find the same wines for less at wine shops. But there are wines here that you would be hard pressed (no pun intended) to find. Mostly because its small runs and they are sold out. We bought the last 3 bottles of a blend from 2015 that they gave a sample of which was not on their normal tastings.
really worth a half hour out of your busy schedule.

Library wines are great. Prices commensurate with the area (Walla Walla.) Tasting room staff know their stuff.

Good wines and they provide a decent cracker and cheese assortment to go with the wine. The wines were good enough that we bought several bottles to take home 9which doesn't happen at every winery we visit).

The owner was a great guy. This winery is just off the highway at an old train station. The tasting is free and wonderful. We left with several bottles and laughs.

The very best wine in the valley! Service is great and the wine is exceptional! Try the Cow Catcher for flavor and taste you won't be disappointed.

Tour this wonderful old building. Learn more about wine making.
Listen to the walls as they share with you the history of their use through time. Apples storage to wine making

Two friends and I spent two days tasting wine in the Walla Walla Valley over Labor Day weekend. Dumas Station was our first stop and the perfect starting point - mainly because Neil gave us the full tour of the facility and also counselled us on other cellars to try (that were not on our list and turned out to be wonderful). We loved the Dumas Cow Catcher White, a special surprise as we weren't all that interested in white wines on this trip. Glad he turned us on to this one. Highly recommended.

Friendly and easy to talk to, I think Dumas station should be on your list if you are coming to the Walla Walla area for wine.
